“I’ve still got it.” Then Siobhanny twirled, reappearing in horned helmet and leather Loki at his so freaking hot when he plays dominant. He clasped his hands behind his back, curling his lip. “Kneeling would now be deemed appropriate.” Then he waved his hand. “Only kidding. Who gets off on forcing their enemy to become their slave in the twenty-first century?” He tapped his teeth as if in thought. “I know, Wolve Winners.” He threw off his helmet, and his black hair transformed back to red. I scowled. “I said that I don’t want you to be—”

My dad was heading down the porch steps as I closed the door. “No.” I met him at the bottom and he nodded. He headed off to the bushes to the left of the house and tossed his clothes out. Within a minute, Loki is walking over to me. His black fur shining and his golden eyes glowing, his huge form as tall as my shoulder. “Hello Loki.” Hello pup. Climb up. We have a way to go before we are clear of viewing eyes.

I turned my neck slightly, exposing my vulnerable throat. His teeth pierced my skin, and a powerful, searing energy intertwined with my wolf soul, binding us together in a spiritual link that was now unbreakable, forged forever. “My Luna,” he whispered in my ear. The ceremony was complete. The mountaintop erupted with thunderous cheers. “Alpha! Luna!” voices rang across the sky. Countless photographers beyond the barricades fired their cameras relentlessly, the flashes turning the scene into a sea of light. Lottie’s POV It feels like I’ve been running forever. I know the territory, but I think I don’t know where she could have gone. My mind is just all over the place. I just need to find her before anything else does. When I ran around a boulder, I nearly crashed into a girl wearing a blue dress. I stopped suddenly and froze, looking at her “kneel.” My inner voice screamed at me. What? Why? “Kneel” she screams again. This time I do as I am told and kneel.

He was just about to say something, but Javier obviously did not need a reply. Hence, Javier struck Loki’s lower body with his knee. Loki ended up sprawling on the ground as well, thoroughly losing consciousness, in fact. He felt as though someone had punched him in the head, knocking him out completely. However, this was far from over for Loki. Loki’s self-defense mechanism kicked in automatically due to the immense pain caused by that knee strike, which led him to lose consciousness directly. In truth, Loki was very likely going to feel even more pain when he came around because he was never going to be able to call himself a man again.

Thank the fates for that, because his hand was sweaty and smelled like fish. “Where’s Loki?” I chirped. A caw was heard on the moss-like carpet on the floor several steps down from the throne. A bird laid on its side with claws stuck in the threading. Caw. It was the most depression ‘caw’ I ever heard. “Loki!?” I squealed, running down to help him. Bending over, Luci cursed again and stood behind me. “Bunny, if you can’t bend over properly, then you have to wear pants.” My face turned red as I pushed my skirt back down to help Loki up.

“Kneel. All of you.” There was a moment of hesitation, a silent communication that passed between them. Then, as one, they moved. Adonis, my proud Alpha, lowered himself to his knees first, his eyes never leaving mine. Knox followed, a smirk playing on his lips that didn’t quite hide his anticipation. Dante went down last, his expression one of pure, unadulterated lust.

He smiles like a king but moves like a knife, and when he kisses me, I forget my own name for a second too long. But I’m learning. And what I’m learning most of all is this: power is just another language. And I’m finally fluent. There’s a knock on the door. I already know who it is by the pressure in the air. Loki never actually knocks. But today he’s performing. I let the door swing open with a thought. He steps in like he owns the room, dressed in black that shifts like oil slicks in the light. Ash turns cautiously. Five people emerge calmly from the tall grass. At the very front, a red-haired young man walks toward us while casually spinning a small flame in his palm. His sharp eyes lock onto our team. “Well, look who’s crawling around on the ground like worms,” the young man says mockingly. Damian grits his teeth. “Loki. Why does it have to be you, asshole?” The young man, Loki, laughs sarcastically. He snaps his fingers, and a wall of fire rises around us, making the prehistoric birds hesitate to attack again.

Elric stopped at a page with a brown smudge across the bottom, which held a recipe titled "Lich Eternal". It was a horrible spell calling for items Aelfric had never heard of, not to mention a hefty blood sacrifice. It called for something called "Claimed Chimera claw", and "Horbus Moreas pollin". He could hardly make out the directions, but the notes scribbled at the bottom of the page read "Consciousness lost 8 hours. Eyes bled briefly upon waking. Stimuli are strange. Hard surfaces feel malleable, I am unbreathing, though my heart beats still.
