The battle began. The knight charged first, his blade swinging with the force of a collapsing tower. Kael ducked, rolled, and the ground split where the blade struck. Sparks flew. Kael’s claws unsheathed, gleaming silver in the weak dawn light, and he slashed upward, ripping across the knight’s armor. The crowd screamed as steel gave way under Lycan strength.

We all looked over to see Lance standing by a tree with a cigarette in his hand. "No, she hasn't, but she is getting there," Keith replied "We need her to get there sooner with this war coming," Lance said "Luna Ebony is doing better than Warrior I have ever trained," Derek said "Yeah, me too. I am sure you can see that My Luna is a quicker learner than anyone any of us have ever seen," Keith said

The lance had blades and hooks embedded in it so that opponents did not only have to fear the tip but the shaft as well. Mota and Schlek pared off in the arena. The spectators began to chant. They favoured Schlek to win. Schlek circled to the left and so did Mota. They watched each other like hawks, each looking for an opening. Mota tested Schlek with jabs of his lance and Schlek evaded easily enough. With each jab Schlek parried with his sword stopping the lance from touching him. But each defensive move was not just a parry. It was a decisive blow struck at the lance in the same place. Schlek was chopping into the lance.

"They must be truly desperate." "Those aren't ordinary soldiers," Serena warned. "Those are hunter-knights, trained specifically to combat supernatural threats. Their weapons are blessed by the Grand Inquisitor himself. Even with the Soulstone's power, you'd be wise to avoid direct confrontation." The Shadow Knight studied the approaching force. Twenty riders, each representing the pinnacle of the Light's martial prowess. They moved with disciplined precision, scanning the terrain with the practiced efficiency of predators tracking prey.

Every equipment here is built to withstand the worst of a Lycan's strength. This machine can take whatever speed you give it. What did you do, bash it in?"

He is the most reserved of all of us but he is a loyal friend. “Three on one?” I ask them, my eyes darting across all of them. “No” Bastian immediately refutes, “you can’t take on the three of us, you will get hurt”

I smiled at him. “As friends? I can do that. Just text me a day and time, okay.” My reply seemed to excite him. His handsome smile showed off his pristine white teeth. “Yeah, I will do that. Are you going somewhere? Let me get the door for you.” Lance ran to open the packhouse doors for me. I stepped in front of them just as the door opened wide enough that I could see Brax leaning against a bike. Where did he get that? “Oh, the dragon prince.” Lance jogged down the steps after making sure I was out of the way of the door. “Hey man, we haven’t had a chance to meet. I’m Lance. It’s nice to finally meet you.” They shook hands.

Kael cast a side grin as he watched the two warriors fight. The lancer played with his long spear one-handedly, preparing his stance. The wind circled him as the lance spun fast, like a rolling wheel. The other warrior charged, drove the point of his broadsword, but the spear caught it, bouncing the sword away. The swordsman kept his attacks, but with the combined skill and strength of the lancer, he was untouchable. "A master lancer," Kael corrected Tristan.
