David and the others exchanged looks once more. They had no words. What was going on? Did Sheldon get food poisoning or something? All they could do was wait. This time, they waited a full half hour before Sheldon finally came back. His face was even paler than before, and his legs were shaking as he walked. "I'm really sorry, everyone. I must've eaten something I shouldn't have yesterday. Let's sign—what the fuck!" This time, Sheldon couldn't stop himself from cursing before staggering toward the door again—and he was gone for an entire hour.

Sheldon smiled and responded, "Colonel Brown, I know very well what kind of person you are. How would I dare to play any tricks on you? I never wanted to trouble Young Master Brown. As long as I get what I want, I'll send him back and apologize to you personally." Sheldon was the type of person to conceal daggers behind a smile. No matter how exasperated he was, no matter how much he wanted to behead the other party and kick his head around like a ball at the moment, he still kept a smile on his face, as if he was talking about a casual topic. Neil warned him again, "Very well, as long as you understand. I'm just worried that you didn't catch my meaning and took my words as a fluke instead."

Knock! Sharlynn heard a soft knocking sound from inside. The woman glanced at the door while still busy with her hair. "Sharlynn, are you okay?" asked Richie without getting any answer. Sharlynn pressed the 'Off' button on her hairdryer, then returned it to its place. She did her activities carefree as if Richie's call out there was nothing. Sharlynn got up from the dressing table and walked over to the closet. She began sorting out the clothes she would wear regardless of Richie's call.

After the shower, I made my way to the room with a smile on my face, and when I was about to lay down, I heard a knock on my door. My face instantly formed into a frown, my eye staring at the door as I got ready to deal with the pest at the door. When the knock became constant, I rushed to the door, and by the time I opened it, it was Sheldon. He stood there with a bouquet of flowers. "Sheldon?" He grinned telling me he missed me so much, so he decided we should go out, and have some fun to burn off some steam. I couldn't agree more, that's what I needed to do, but for now, I was really sleepy.

He was wearing his grim reaper cloack and a formal attire underneath. Shane's ears burned bright red while staring at Mara's mismatched eyes. He secretly pinched himself. "Knock! Knock!" He said and Mara chuckled. "Who's there?" She said. She knows about this modern joke. Shane's face burned brighter. He didn't mean it as a joke. He flicked Mara's forehead and then leaned closer to her. "It's Death, on your doorstep," He said and then planted a kiss on her forehead. "It's Death, on your doorstep, who?" Mara asked.

Knock. At my door.

I tried to hold my voice steady, but I felt myself faltering as my nerve got the best of me. "I know I have things to work on, Julie. I promise that I am doing everything I can to be better for you." He said sweetly. I looked up with a smile in time for him to place a gentle kiss on my lips before he turned and walked down the hallway and out of sight. I watched him walk away. I turned and banged on the door. No answer. I knocked again. "Chey? Deidra?" I shouted, hoping one of them was inside and sleeping since the class had been out for over an hour, and I knew they were both in the habit of frequent naps.

The impact was so strong that Bosco stumbled backward, falling sideways to the floor. Gasps filled the hall again. Someone in the crowd covered their mouth in shock. Another whispered, “Did he just—?” Sheldon stepped closer, his expression dark. “Get lost, you piece of shit!” he thundered. His voice roared through the hall like a command.

“Okay, my brilliant Professor Bruce. The last thing I want tonight is to hear you lecture me about life. I've had enough of all that. I just want to enjoy my life.” A knock broke Shanon's annoyance at Anthony. She looked right and left to look for the people who should be at the reception desk. Before she plopped down on one of the sofas, she saw Jennie, the housekeeper, standing behind the reception desk. Jennie greeted her and smiled warmly. "Why?" “I heard a knock. Do you think I'm just hallucinating?” The knocking sound was heard again. This time it was louder and more intense. “Anthony, do you think someone will come here at night?”
