As I turn to put music on I scream, jumping back and throwing everything in my reach at the fucking spider. Hell if there is one thing I fear, it’s fucking spiders. They are my kryptonite, after the devil himself laughed in my face, I fear these fuckers more. The door slams open, and I turn expecting Dave but instead, it’s the Caddel brothers. My calm only lasts a second as I see the spider move out of the corner of my eye and I scream running behind them for protection, my arms gripped onto Grayson. “Erm, what the fuck?” He looks at me confused.

Making everyone scream in hysterics instantly. The music suddenly stopped. Replaced with uncontrollable chaos and screaming. Jack stopped his guitar playing. He came to the front of the stage and smiled horribly. Jack took out a knife from the pocket he had prepared earlier. He slit his own throat until blood gushed from his neck with an expressionless face.

Understanding that he wasn't willing to answer, I unwrapped the cloth from both his palms and turned them over to look at the knuckles. "Where is she?", his voice came out so vulnerable, so weak and so shaky that I would've mistaken him for an emotional man if I didn't know better. I clamped my lower lip between my teeth before puffing my cheeks out as I blew air out of them. He was getting impatient and honestly, it scared me a little too much.

I run to the other side of the ring, wiping and smearing blood from my eye from my face. "He has brass knuckles!" My voice cracking from the pain. The guy standing guard outside of the door smile at me, and turns his back. I look back at Chase who is laughing, pacing back and forth. I'm fucked. I'm stuck in here with a monster. I have to keep my distance, anything up close and those knuckles will destroy me. I can't give up. Even if my fear is telling me to give in, I am not leaving without a fight.

I’m gripping the steering wheel too hard my knuckles turned white. “We should’ve not left them alone, man. One of us should’ve stayed with them. Damn, man. I don’t know what will happen if I lose Luna.” Lucas is freaking out. His pupils are dilated and this is the first time I ever saw fear in his eyes. I reached for him and squeezed his shoulder reassuringly. “We’ll save them. Nothing will happen to them, you hear me?”

“I almost killed two of them, Nik. Claws out. Full shift halfway. I heard sirens and I ran.” I crossed the room and grabbed his wrist, turned his hand over. The claws had retracted, but the skin around his nails was torn where they had punched through too fast. “Sit down,” I said. He sat on the edge of the bed like his legs gave out. I went to the bathroom, wet a towel, came back and pressed it to his knuckles. He didn’t flinch. “I could smell their fear,” he said quietly. “It was… good. For a second it felt good. And that scared me more than them.”

I flinched at his action. His knuckles were bleeding. He was growling in anger and pain. Seeing his knuckles bleed, my heart dropped in my stomach. His fist was bleeding very badly. I started sobbing more loudly. I tried to take it in my hands to see the damage but he snatched it. “Don't touch me,” he shouted. I started sobbing and tried to control the hiccups but it was not in my hands.

My wrists bruised with each pull but I didn't stop. “Yaaaaaaaaaaaaa!” I kept on pulling. My voice cracked, very painfully. “Damon, can you hear me…Damon…” I called, trying to mindlink him. When I didn't sense him, I panicked. I always thought I was tough and could withstand anything, but in this moment, the tough me broke apart. Hot tears streamed down my face. “Please save me if you can hear me…I'm scared…I'm so scared…”

It was distractions that helped. The scars came from my fingernails. I kept them long in high school to fit in with the cool kids' fashion. Whenever I had a panic attack my fists would clench without me knowing it, and they would keep digging into the same spot over and over again, especially if I was going through a stressful time.
