He scrambled for a silver-plated dagger lying on the floor.
I didn't give him the chance to touch it.
Lunging forward on all fours, I tackled him hard into the concrete wall. The impact knocked the wind straight out of his lungs. Pinning him by the chest, I drove my massive, razor-sharp claws deep into his shoulders, tearing right through his leather jacket and deep into his muscle tissue.
“Please! I have a family! Don't kill me!” the rogue sobbed, hot tears streaming down his dirty face.
“You touched what belongs to the King,” I snarled, leaning down until my fangs brushed his ear. “You do not get to walk away from that.”
