Wilbur and Charlie almost arrived at the docks at the same time. Hans arrived later and stood next to them. He looked at the sea monster with utter shock. He had lived in that area his whole life, so he could not believe that there was such a terrifying creature in the sea. Wilbur frowned and looked at the sea monster. He asked, "What is that thing that looks like an octopus?" "Sir, that's the legendary sea monster, the Kraken. It lived here for more than ten thousand years, and it's just as good as me. I fought it for years in the deep sea. I didn't expect it to come ashore," replied Charlie while frowning.

I looked upwards, eyes searching the skies. Somewhere up there, giant fish swam through the clouds. If I could tempt them down, maybe they would fight my enemies. Who was I kidding? The first thing they’d do was eat me. The Kraken were a better bet with regards to being helpful (especially if we introduced them to Motown classics) but they had the slight disadvantage of not being able to walk on land. Or maybe they could, very slowly. Either way, as Socrates once said, you don’t bring a lobster to a shark fight. I think it was him. Might have been Plato.

MARSAI'S POV "A fire stone? This is rare and can only be brought by..." Arnold paused, looking shocked "What's wrong?" I asked out of curiosity. "It's a fire stone and the only creature that is able to do this is the fire monster, the kraken." Arnold revealed. "What is a fire monster? It sounds creepy." I asked, looking at his reaction. They both managed to escape the sudden attack of the monstrous creature that suddenly appeared, and based on its tentacle, Helios already had an idea about what kind of species it is. "I knew it," he uttered. "It's a kraken." Who would have thought that a kraken would appear in a calm lake? Cordelia's eyes widened in surprise, but she also felt excited to fight the kraken. She stood up, and without wasting a single chance, she started hitting its tentacle with her spear. However, the more she attacked, the more its other tentacles kept on appearing and hitting them. They reached into the ocean’s depths, gently making waves as if to welcome the visitors there. BRRRRRRR... Suddenly, giant tentacles reached up from within the abyss that separated them and the Castle. Ezekiel’s eyes glowed blue as he felt threatened by the presence of the monster. “Easy. It’s just their lovely pet, Miss Krake,” Harriet said. “Oh, well, Harriet, how many times have you come here?” Ezekiel blinked in disbelief. “And you call this thing their ‘pet’?” Krake was a giant octopus with a mouth big enough to fit two castle towers. As Ezekiel observed its shape in detail, he could see its purply skin shimmering like pearls under a gentle glow from the Castle.

I heard screams and shuffling of feet the whole time before it was gone. The man with the yellow cat eyes appeared beside me. "Why are you all surprised about that one?" He asked in a serious tone. "Earth dwellers have written stories about it. The Kraken. It used to swim on the ocean surface before they hunted it down and forced it to live here. Just like us." "I thought the Kraken was a giant octopus?" I said. "No one lived to tell the tale from the ones who saw the actual body. I guess they just assumed that it is a giant octopus."

We have also crossed paths with a few dangerous creatures, it wasn’t anything that we couldn’t handle though. “I hope we find the Kraken.” I accidentally spit my food when Kai said that. “The Kraken?” He nodded at me. Was he serious? “Yeah, they live in water.” He said to me, continuing to eat his food. “I bet it would make for great calamari.” He really is serious. “Are you sure you’re not Tanner’s brother?” I asked him. He shook his head. “You do know that the Kraken is supposed to live in the ocean, right? It is a saltwater dweller.” He looked at me.

The ocean was a churning mass of grey-green water, the waves capped with a greasy, white foam that smelled of ozone and deep-earth minerals. "The entrance to the Atlantic Trench is twelve miles out," Hestia said, adjusting her heavy, pressurized diving suit. She had insisted on coming, her knowledge of the Council’s deep-sea protocols proving invaluable. "The Kraken’s core is housed in 'Station Zero'. It’s powered by the volcanic vents. If we take out the vents, the AI will starve." Rhea looked at the water. Her wolf was restless, the thought of being submerged in the dark, silent pressure of the deep sea triggering a primal claustrophobia.

This creature is said to often attack passing ships by rolling it up with its giant tentacles and pulling it down. The word Kraken itself comes from the word "Krake" from the Scandinavian language which means referring to an unhealthy animal or something strange. Soon, I reached the end of the rope and dropped it, terrified, yet awed. It was huge. Bright big golden eyes with vertical slits sat elegantly within the creature's narrow, thorny skull, which gave the creature a menacing yet elegant looking appearance. Blue crystal growths sat atop its head, just above its long, pointy ears. A row of tiny horns ran down the sides of each of its jaw lines. It opened its jaw and a rows of sharp teeth poked out of its mouth, revealing the horror hiding inside it. I shivered at the thought of it sinking into my skin. Its jaw moved again, followed by that deep rumble. It was laughing again. I cocked my head, now more confused than I was terrified.
