He went flying as well, just not in the same direction as his fellow warrior. The other four realized I wasn’t just your average wolf. Two of them shifted into their wolf form but I just shoot my head. They came at me, one from each side. With my left hand I grabbed the wolf by the skull. Flinging him to the right, I brought up my right foot and had it connect with the other wolf’s stomach. I heard the crunch of his ribs and I winced. Hopefully it didn’t puncture anything. I’d be really fucked if I killed them.

He said to himself as he bit one of the rabid wolves while choking the other one and stomping the third wolf with his foot. He moved his gaze around the room. “Where’s the fourth one?” He asked himself. Soon a dark shadow appeared behind him—it was the fourth rabid wolf. He didn’t have time to fight them all at once. Alpha Qillalon saw the fourth rabid wolf open his mouth sharp showing its sharp fangs. The Alpha prepared himself for the pain, but it never came. Shortly, he heard a familiar voice, “Get your dirty paws off of my mate,” Vesper uttered with a dangerous, murderous tone.

Sharper. All heads turned. And then—they arrived. Ten wolves in gray armor. My friend hadn’t let me down. They crashed into the rogues like a wave. The battle shifted. We pressed forward again. Rosa’s POV I caught Hark’s scent before I saw him. He stepped into the clearing. Alone. Tall. Smiling. “You brought outsiders?” he mocked. “I brought justice.” He charged. We met in the middle. Fury and history in every strike. Claws clashed. Old scars ripped open again.

Paige didn’t have long to wait before she saw the four Clearfork wolves come into view. First was Judd’s brindled colored wolf. He had a striking pattern of tightly woven coffee and caramel colored stripes. His wolf was big and stocky, heavy in the shoulders, much like his human form. And like his human form, he ran silently, but was intimidating with his serious focus. His eyes flicked up to her on the rock, and she crouched lower. She saw that he was aware of her presence and was glad he chose to ignore her.
