The Moon’s Pure wolf
“Nobody will. Not even your wolf.”
The room's edges darkened as my vision became hazy. She laughed, and I heard it. Far away, it sounded hollow. I saw her pull out her phone through the haze, her sly smile brightened by the light.
“It’s done," she uttered quietly. Then she paused, and something about her tone shifted — quieter, almost afraid.
“Yes, Master. I’ve heard you.”
Master? The word fumbled in my mind. Who was she talking to?
My chest tightened before I could think further. My inner wolf awoke, restless, growling low, then weaker, weaker, until I could feel nothing but silence. empty. Like something sacred had been torn from me.
