Mr. Richard said, sounding alarmed. Jack and Henry nodded. "Yes, dad," said Henry. "God knows I can't stand rats!" Mr. Richard said, entering his office as one of his guards opened the door for him. "Now's your chance to run!" Jack whispered. "Dude, find out why he's here!" Henry whispered back and headed for the lab.

Something stronger. “Incoming transmission,” a technician called suddenly. “Someone’s accessing our secure server. They’re sending a video response.” Carter gestured for the technicians to trace the signal while displaying the incoming feed. The screen on the wall came to life. A man appeared—late sixties, distinguished, with cold eyes and a surgical scar along his jawline. Victor Krane. “Hello, Lila,” he said, smiling politely. “That was quite a performance. Rejection of traumatic symbols, reclamation of personal narrative—textbook therapeutic techniques. I’m impressed. But you’ve missed something crucial.”

“Fuck you.” The guy with the snake tattoo raised his hand, but Konstantin stopped him. “We're wasting time on her, Krugan.” “Krugan? Taylor plunged at the Kraken’s neck and used the mutated artifacts to slash it. When the creature covered its neck, Taylor climbed on its back to find the transmitter that merged the six scientists to become the Kraken. The young champion ran across the creature’s back, aiming for the transmitter lodged in its lower spine. The creature twisted and swung Taylor off its back. Taylor got his bearings then readied to teleport for the transmitter again.
