Ladon Myth Novels & Stories

Suddenly Ladon's head spurted water to extinguish the fire. “Shit! Let's go now!” exclaimed Leon. They ran towards the entrance of the hall they had passed earlier. Claire flew with the power of the wind, while Leon ran in shoes belonging to the god Hermes. Unexpectedly, a dragon as big as Ladon now flies after them. The heavy flapping of its wings caused many trees to fall and forced both Claire and Leon to slow down. Ladon's rampage turned Hera's garden into a storm as if they were in the sea. A great rain began to fall and a whirlwind began to form.

But she was good at it. “This part says Ladon was created by a witch called Selphira. She was banished from the High Coven for crimes against nature.” “Crimes like creating monsters?” Kira nodded. “Exactly. It says Ladon was meant to guard a hidden gate. A portal that connects this world to something worse. Something that even witches feared.” “Great,” I muttered. “So we’re not just dealing with a monster. We’re dealing with a key.” Kira’s face darkened. “It says Ladon cannot be destroyed by conventional means. Its blood is toxic. It regenerates in seconds. And if it tastes the blood of its slayer, the heads multiply faster.”

Then, came a laughter so wild, it scratched at one's ears. “Yes! What a glorious end! To be taken into the bosom of the goddess!” He spread his arms out wide to the heavens, looking nothing less than euphoric. His eyes rolled into his head, and his body seized—caught in a trance. “A wolfless Luna rises in the East, and with her, a lightning strike falls! A new king will rise upon the land, and the Luna will become the goddess! Elandir and his men were no more, swallowed up in the chaos, taken by either the breaking earth, or the flames and dropped from the sky. Screams of anguish and terror soared into the air, mixing with the darkness and flashes of red.

Dailon shook his hand, Adrian shook his hand with a lot of strength. "It's nice to meet you, Adrian, I feel like I've heard that name before," Dailon commented as he pulled back his hand from Adrian's strong grip. "I'm the king of darkness." "I think I've been in your dreams before." Dailon eyes met Lilith as he said that, this made her curious were his dreams about her? "So I'm guessing you're the god of dreams?" "The one and only." "I thought I blocked you from my dreams." "You would need the blessing of dreams for that to be possible." The blessing of dreams was something you had to get from the gods and goddesses themselves but you had to have certain traits it obtain it.

Just like all of us. Tawny springs into action with Crimson, commanding what’s left of the werecat army to charge. “We don’t give up!” She screams! Watching the people I call friends, and the ones I love fight for their life pinches my heart. This should never have been. Electric blue sparks flickered across my knuckles. ‘Do it.’ Duke says. ‘Or Aodh will kill us all.’ Aodh. The god of the underworld. Or one of them. Him being the most powerful in mythology the one who promised Inanna as his bride. He had come for Lamia, or at least her wolf. But she was no longer on this plane of existence.

Darius let out a breath—a disbelieving, almost stunned laugh. “No.” He shook his head, eyes flashing. “No, that’s not possible.” One of the warriors muttered a curse under his breath. Another just stared. Because they knew that name. Everyone did. Theoden wasn’t just a name. It was a legend. An ancient name. A name whispered in wolf mythology. The name of a demigod. Luka swallowed, his voice uneven. “Theo, stop messing around.” Theoden smiled. But there was no humor in it.

Time is a cruel mistress. It uses things and leaves them behind in the sea of what once was. Eidola, (plural for eidolon) fits into this category. The phenomenon comes from a singular area of the world, the ancient city of Troy. Warren doesn’t know it yet, but he is a descendant of the first eidolon wielder, Helen of Troy. Nerea covered her mouth and whispered a prayer. Plume continued to watch the bestial energy as Warren walked out of the circle. “Warren how are you feeling?” Plume shouted.

“I was just saying that, it’s believed that the reason why the Lycan lineage can’t have mates is that, it is a punishment that the Moon goddess bestowed on the first ever Lycan for daring to challenge her.” “That’s just dumb.” Mariam snapped. “He dared to challenge the Moon goddess and all she did was to take away his ability to have a mate. Right now, I wish I didn’t have a mate.” She tapped his head. “Boris, you seriously have to stop believing every single myth or story you hear.” Their little banter put a thought in Chanda’s mind. Since she couldn’t outright ask Velkan about the sword, she had another source in the form of Boris. A living encyclopedia on myths, he should definitely have

Each one depicted different scenes of lycan mythology. I hadn’t had the privilege to learn our histories in school like most members of the pack, but my parents had taught me basic lore. The left one looked like it told the story of the fall of King Lycaon. He’d fed the god Jupiter a meal made with the human flesh of his wife’s lover. As punishment he and his sons had been turned into wolves. Later, the Goddess Selene, more commonly known as the Moon Goddess Luna, took pity on these wolves. She granted them their human forms again. But when her sway was strongest during the full moon, they would take their wolf forms again to hunt through the night with and worship her.

"You know son, it was never always like this." Leonidas knew the story very well, the story of the past before the gods saved them and nodded grimly as his Father said, "Zeus came and saved us, built us a new world from the ruins, gave us a life, gave us a purpose, and made us, the Aetos, his own children, chief ruler of the new world, which we have been for years." He knew this story as well, his Father had ingrained it into his head at an early age.
