What was your inspiration to write The Lady and the Scoundrel? I am a writer and full-time editor for many different projects, including a short story magazine. I wanted to write a contemporary romance inspired by my favorite romance novels as an exercise in discipline, to see if I could take on longer writing projects. There are several winks to what once was one of my favorite romance novels sprinkled throughout the story, so you can say it’s very loosely inspired by that one. She asked again, trying to affirm that what she heard was correct. “Yes Ma’am. You have a letter. A young lady dressed in a blue gown brought it. But she didn’t give me her name ma’am. I’m sorry.” “And ma’am, thank you so much for not ratting me out about the person that followed you home ma’am.” But Cordelia had already zoomed up to her apartment with the cheetahs speed, she didn’t even wait to hear what he was saying. Immediately she got up, she lifted up her doormat, to check the letter.

The next morning after a night full of sex, Angel walked very carefully. She was dreading the trip to the grocery store but had no choice. As she was getting ready to leave Maverick Jr. stopped her. "Jaycee isn't here so take Cindy with you. And I've got 2 prospects going as well as Joker." Mav ordered. "I'm not taking that woman anywhere!" Angel hissed. "She wants to earn her keep, so she's going to help you at the store." Maverick Jr. replied.

Amber said, walking towards them with Jenna, saving Brad from answering Angel's question.

He knew that face. And from the way she had walked faster when he said "Arya", he knew she was the one. She had recognized him too. Her hair was long now, sleek and black, nothing like the soft blond waves she used to have. He could recognize that Angel face he had fallen for anywhere. Mrs. Parker was saying something, laughing softly with her husband, but Juan wasn’t listening. His eyes stayed on the staircase for a few more seconds, as if she’d come back.

She said sweetly, leaning into him. "It's alright baby..." He turned to face Samantha and the look on her face amused him greatly. "Let me go get you ladies some drinks while you get to know each other. I'll be right back." He said, registering the look of horror on both their faces and left anyways, not giving them a chance to reply. He had only one intention in mind and that was getting his angel away from that demon that called himself Ronald.
