DIFFERENT SHADES OF HIM (BOOK-ONE)
“There were no reports of bad weather today.”
“Exactly. It was so calm and serene just an hour ago. That silence must be the quiet before the storm.”
My eyes followed their voice.
“Should I be concerned?” I didn't realise I had spoken out.
"Don't worry, child. It has been raining for an hour now with thunderstorms, I suppose," the lady beside me said, assuming the time of this dark, unbidden weather, maybe reading my ashen face. “Or it could be more than one hour, no?” turning her face to have nods from the other two women sitting in front of her, she confirmed. "It seems the rain will not be stopping soon.”
