AUTHOR'S POV By midnight, the weather over the French Riviera took a violent, malicious turn. The sky blacked out completely, and a heavy, monstrous storm rolled over the Mediterranean. Violent sheets of rain lashed against the villa's grand glass windows, and the deep, booming cracks of thunder shook the very foundation of the estate. Inside her bedroom, Ruby bolted upright in bed, her green eyes wide with pure, instinctual terror as a massive streak of lightning illuminated her walls. Ruby had always been absolutely terrified of heavy storms at night. Back home, whenever the tropical rains grew too violent, she would instantly run to her father's room or slide into Chloe's bed for comfort.

The storm had been building all evening, rattling the grand windows of the Moretti mansion. Lightning split the sky above New York, illuminating the city in jagged bursts of silver. Rain pelted the rooftops like bullets, echoing the violence that had already touched Aria’s life. Inside the mansion, the air was thick with tension. Every shadow seemed alive, every whisper of wind a warning of the chaos outside and the storm within.

Closing my eyes immediately, I prayed fervently that it wouldn't draw a map to my glass and strike me. I hated lightning so much, and being stuck here in a storm with the sound of rain and thunder terrified me. I could have let Cally drive me, or better still, had him run the errand for me, but I couldn't. I just couldn't.

I said, and Myriad walked in. I looked at Storm, and she wrapped her arms around my neck. "You look so sexy fighting in that robe, with your ass in the air..." she said, wrapping her hand around the robe and squeezing my ass. "Really?" I lifted my eyebrows. "You were fully mooning the entire dark cave, Little Flower..." She said and I laughed. They were fighting for fucks sake, and she focused on my ass. "Let me change..." I said, and she nodded. "Please..." she sighed.

Does he want to feed her? “Ahh~” she opened her mouth, accepting his offer although some food spilled because her mouth was small enough for such bulky food. “Well…that’s…” “My lady. The Dorumn Estate is a place with unpredictable weather. Sometimes, the weather is good. But most of the time, it’s either snowing. Or there’s a storm.” It was Theodore who explained. “That’s right, my lady. If you’re scared of thunders, you’ll have a lot of troubles when we arrive later,” Amadeo agreed, nodding as he chew some meat.

Olivia's lips curled into a sneering smirk as she spoke, her eyes glinting with malice as they met Cathleen's. "Of course, Miss Williams." The gentle cadence of Cathleen's voice was quickly drowned out by the ominous rumble of thunder outside, a telltale sign of an approaching storm. The dark clouds loomed in the sky, threatening to unleash their fury at any moment. The wind picked up, rustling through the trees and sending leaves scurrying across the ground. A sense of foreboding filled the air as if nature itself was anticipating the storm's arrival.

My toes curled in anticipation. Damned overactive libido. I fanned him off,"yeah yeah, whatever,now what's coming?" He lifted his face to the stormy sky and blinked as rain fell unapologetically into his eyes. "Noir,but in the form of animals with wings.Owls and hawks,eagles and birds.And lots of bats.Flocks of them,all coming this way." Thunder clapped and boomed,lightning sparked and the wind rose,as if to underline the sinister element of his words.

Torrance said, sounding as wise and strong as I'd ever heard her. The sky darkened suddenly, and a gentle pitter patter of rain released, as if nature was matching her mood to our own. The blue-grey sky and the rain streaked windows swallowed the kitchen whole, dimming the light and warmth with every gentle clap of thunder. Leona sighed, glancing out at the forming storm, "The Moon Goddess weeps, too. We're in for a storm in more ways than one."

Henna will be mad if she has to buy me new books already. This stupid shade over my head is doing less to nothing to protect me from the rain. It's started to get really cold now. The wind is blowing ghastly almost, it seems like it must be storming in some places. Glad it's not happening here. I wouldn't like the idea of getting washed away from the earth with the harsh wind as much as Gabriel would like that. I have to admit though, I really like storms, I don't know why but It gives me inner peace, makes me all giddy for some unknown reason.

The image of the two men begging for their lives before he had silenced them were still very fresh in my memory and the very fact that he even had a gun on him all the while made me shudder. Who was Lucas Storm? Why did he keep a gun with him? Who were the men that had attempted to kill him? Why did they make such a daring attempt at a public place? Tons of questions flooded through my mind and I knew that no matter what, I wouldn’t be able to answer as much as a single one of them. I did a quick sign of the cross and thanked mother Mary for giving me the courage to run away from him. He was too dangerous for me.
