Humid and hot. The cicadas thrummed in the trees and birds called out as got in my car. We would get thunderstorms this evening, and given Jacob's propensity for getting wet and looking sexy as hell because of it, I was rather looking forward to them. I especially liked how he held me as the thunder crashed around us. When the storms came, I didn't have to worry about people coming to our houses and finding us. I didn't have to worry about what anyone else thought. I was Jacob's and he was mine.

Unlike he expected, Adom feels warm. The weather outside isn't cold or windy. The rain plummets from the sky in a straight path to the ground, bouncing off of his shoulders. There is a bit of mist covering the ground from the sheer heat of the atmosphere. Adom hasn't been in such a storm before. Not that he's able to think about anything at the moment. He keeps walking like a zombie, not knowing where he's heading and not caring either.

Black clouds gathered in the sky, forming a knot just above Rula's black umbrella. The wind blew coldly, slapping the dress against Rula's feet as she walked. “I have to find a safe place,” Rula muttered while looking up. The big tree won't protect her until this storm stops. Maybe even kill her. Rula saw the porch of a shop. She intends to come and take shelter. At least until the storm stops, the wind doesn't blow, and once lightning doesn't strike.

Then suddenly, with a monstrously loud crack of thunder and a flash of lightning right above her, the skies opened and the rain poured down. Helen howled as she hauled her rain cover over her. She was keeping dry—but she wasn't used to being enclosed by the plastic cover, or to the horrendous noise of the rain pelting down onto it. Lara was drenched to the skin in a second, but she kept on pushing the buggy towards home. The rain was so heavy and within minutes wide torrents of rainwater were surging along the gutters-turbid and brown from a whole summer's dirt being washed off the streets in one go.

The once violent storm had been reduced to slight drizzles. It looked like the weather was doing so well with easing dramatic events but unfortunately for me, there was no such luck since I sucked at it.
