Promises in the Grave

Promises in the Grave

He gazed at the girl who had turned him down time and again, looking at him with eyes that seemed to plead for something more. A wild sense of triumph surged through him. However, the regret came crashing down soon after. Janet held him close, whispering that she would not blame him for anything. However, Alfred could not shake the guilt. He had promised his life to me, but ended up hurting his childhood love. That explained the fury in his eyes when he caught me picking on Janet. He never imagined I would catch him in the act with Janet, that my suspicions were not just misunderstandings. I had witnessed his betrayal firsthand.

The Gangster's Promise

The Gangster's Promise

"Safety is a priority in our agreement. You can trust that no one will harm you while you're playing the role I'm paying you for. Furthermore, you have my word that I won't let you get involved in anything dangerous. The contract you'll sign includes clauses ensuring your protection and the penalties if it's broken." Lizzy squinted skeptically, then shook the hand Greed extended to her. "Very well, I accept your offer and trust that you'll keep your word," she said, seeing him smile in response. "I'd like to hear what those clauses say then." Lizzy took a deep breath, thinking about what had happened, and stood up to face the mirror. The long red dress with the plunging neckline that Greed h

Pinky Promise

Pinky Promise

Because Marie had to leave at that time, and in order to conclude their talk and her beautiful bond with Jean, Marie requested, “Jean, promise me that when we both grow up and get a job, we will meet each other. Promise me that you will stay in touch with me; you have my email and my phone number as well. Promise me that you will keep our friendship a secret, and you will not let any other girl become your best friend.” With a very heavy voice and a little positivity in her mind with the hope of meeting her first love again in life after a couple of years, Jean replied, “Pinky Promise!”

Promises Are Made To Be Broken

Promises Are Made To Be Broken

I think I'm going to lose my mind. "You are going to marry him, right? Don't worry, I will tell Dad to marry you. Are you going to marry him?" She asks as she pouts her lips, and I find myself smiling sheepishly. "Yes, I will marry him. Will you get some rest now?" I stroke her hair, and she slowly nods her head. "You have to promise me first that you will marry Daddy. Pinky promise," She says as she brings forth her pinky finger, and I shake my head before I make the promise to her.

A sequel would be nice: A baby for our trio (we need details), Tyler and Yuki, maybe a mate for Luna, Kyra’s triplets, learning about Sally’s fae ancestry, the deal with Yuki’s grandmother and Hunter, maybe seeing Celeste and Luna repair their sisterhood. Loved this story so much!! Well written!!

I loved this book. The characters were well written along with the plot. I enjoyed reading it and would love to see if you would consider a sequel. Especially with the way you ended it with Sally keeping the secret of her pregnancy. I would love to see you write more about these amazing characters.

Midnight Feast

Midnight Feast

She screamed as loud as she could, wishing that somebody would give her a useful answer. “Do you remember your promise? You have to come back to me.” ‘What promise? Where should I come back? I’m already done for. I’m tired…so exhausted…so messed up. Why don’t you reveal yourself and help me instead? If you know me and that you wanted me to fulfill the promise…then I’m begging you… Let me know who you are at least.’ A tear fell on Layla’s face. It was only a drop but the warmth it gave her was overflowing. It made her cold body suddenly feel alive.

The book is well written and very interesting! However, keep in mind there is no happy ending for now. According to the author, there will be a sequel with a happy end, but it is still not in the app, hopefully soon. Personally, I can't wait about it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Oh, the soundtrack from 'The Promise' is absolutely haunting! The main theme is called 'The Promise' by Chris Cornell, and it’s this melancholic, soulful piece that perfectly captures the film’s bittersweet vibe. Cornell’s voice just wraps around the lyrics like smoke, and the way the guitar lingers in the background gives me chills every time. I stumbled upon it years ago while digging into obscure movie soundtracks, and it’s stayed in my rotation ever since. There’s something about how raw and emotional it feels—like it’s not just a song, but a character in the story itself. If you haven’t heard it, drop everything and give it a listen. It’s one of those tracks that sticks with you long after the credits roll.

Funny enough, I later found out Cornell wrote it specifically for the film, which makes sense because it fits the mood so perfectly. It’s not just background noise; it’s a narrative device. The way it swells during key moments in the movie? Chef’s kiss. I’ve even seen fans argue it’s one of his best works, which says a lot given his legendary career. Definitely a hidden gem for soundtrack enthusiasts.
