Lucian shook his head, but a tiny twitch pulled at the corner of his mouth. “What about color? Don’t tell me it’s black, because that’s cliché as hell.” I probed further. He was stiff for a moment, looking in the direction of the door like the answer was there then exhaled. “Blue.” I tilted my head at him and I was almost laughing. “Blue, huh? Didn’t peg you for the ocean-sky type.” This time, the corner of his mouth curved into an actual smile before he caught himself and masked it with his usual cold expression. Even though he'd tried to hide it, I'd seen it.

Even just a flicker. I spend almost an hour wandering the stalls. Everything’s loud and colorful—scarves dangling from clothespins, the smell of roasted peanuts and fried dough, a kid crying over a broken toy. I pass over ribbon after ribbon, none of them quite right. Too bright. Too thin. Too cheap-looking. Then I see it. Soft, satin blue. The heavy draperies begin to part automatically, revealing tall floor to ceiling windows and a view of the most amazing clear blue skies. My mouth parts a little when the warm sun rays filter into the room. The room is so breathtakingly beautiful. And oh boy, it's huge. It is majorly decorated in warm grays and sea blue. I'm guessing he has a thing for the colour blue. Even the Blue Diamond had a blue themed decor.

She quickly glanced away.

"Okay." I slip on a pastel blue long satin midi and wear sandals with it. I do my hair up in a messy bun and add some gold jewellery to the outfit.
