Both of them end up entangled in a comedic display of limbs and laughter. The room reverberates with unbridled amusement, our laughter echoing off the walls. Tears stream down our faces as we struggle to catch our breath, the hilarity of the situation overwhelming us. It is a moment of pure joy, where even the simplest mishaps become the source of endless amusement.

There was no reason to laugh when everything in my life made me cry either in pain, sadness, self loathing, or regret. I didn’t know laughing could make the stomach hurt so much, or make the eyes water. I found that last part the weirdest. Even laughing; such a positive and happy thing, can end up making you cry! Why is it that tears are always involved in both happiness and sadness? I found that really unreasonable and unfair. There should be no crying in happiness.

My uncle stared at the tear that slipped down my cheek, and instead of shutting up or acting human for once, he burst out laughing again. “Oh my God,” he wheezed, wiping his eyes dramatically. “Ryan, this is getting TOO funny. Ah-ah! Look at you. Crying. YOU. Crying for a woman. Wonders shall never end.” I stared at him, clenching my fists. I swear on everything, for one hot second, I actually considered punching him. Because what the hell was funny here? What was amusing? What part of my chest cracking open was a comedy show? I glared at him so hard my vision blurred.

Tears gathered at the corner of my eyes and my belly hurt from laughing so much but I couldn’t bring myself to stop. This was exactly the joke I needed to get out of the terrible mood I was in. By the time I was done laughing, I cleared my throat. “Thanks for making me laugh bestie. That was exactly what I needed. Your impeccable sense of humour.” I complimented. Taking in a deep breath, she whispered shakily. “I know right, just that I’m goddamn serious and I have two weeks left before I become a baby machine to someone who is of the same age as my father.”

Caroline's eyes shimmered in the dim light, and she let out a quiet, breathy laugh, shaking her head as if she couldn’t believe this moment was real. My breath hitched, and I blinked rapidly to push back the sting of tears threatening to fall. I didn’t deserve someone like her, yet here she was, telling me she felt the same about me. I let out a small, shaky laugh, rubbing at my eyes before she could see the tears. "You know, you’re going to make me cry," I muttered, half-laughing, half-sniffling.

Narine I was laughing my brains out, no, really. The kind of laugh that snatches breath from your lungs and leaves your ribs aching, your cheeks flushed, and your soul feeling... lighter. My stomach hurt, my eyes stung from the tears, and my cheeks felt like they'd crack from smiling so hard. Hasmik hadn't changed one bit. Still as unfiltered and hilarious as ever, commanding the room like it was her damn stage. Her timing, expressions, and the way she delivered even the simplest line had all of us doubled over in laughter. I could barely keep up with her quips, and neither could anyone else.

Adrian’s friends moved faster than he did. One of them reached out and ripped it from my hand, ending the call mid-ring. Another laughed under his breath, like he’d just seen something absurd. “Seriously?” someone scoffed. “Your fiancée runs into a little trouble and the first thing she does is call her mommy?” Another chimed in, shaking his head with a laugh. “Adrian, this is next-level childish. We’re grown adults, not kindergarteners. What’s she going to do next—cry for a nanny?”

Despite of my face being soaked with my own tears and myself letting out silent sobs, I couldn't help, but laugh after of what you said. You just won't let me cry in peace, will you?
