He turned to leave, and just as he passed the stairwell, he heard soft sobs coming from the utility room under the stairs.
Amid the crying, someone was whispering:
“…Cotton, linen, silk, and wool—natural fibers should be washed in cold water below 30 degrees, with neutral or acidic detergent by hand… For silk and wool, use specialized laundry liquid…”
Aron walked to the door and bent down to peek inside. He saw Rachel crouched there, clutching a laundry manual, reciting it aloud.
