After I put it back in its place, I adjusted my bathrobe and stood up. Then I came out of my bathroom and went to my walk-in closet. I immediately made my way to the center island and opened the second shelf that has my undergarments.

Normally, I would be on my knees, scrubbing the blood and dirt out of the fabric until my fingers bled. “Elara!
