Layla Moon Author Novels & Stories

Elena POV The chains around my wrists rattled with every jolt of the carriage. Iron cuffs bit into my skin, leaving bruises that would probably never fade. They weren’t silver, but I was still trapped. Shackled. The wooden floor shook beneath me as the horses dragged us closer to Crescent Blood Kingdom, the home of the quadruplet alphas. The kings. My throat tightened. Everyone whispered about them in fear, as if even saying their names might summon them. Four brothers born under the Blood Moon. Four alphas sharing one throne. Together, they ruled the largest werewolf empire in existence.

He raised his head at Matt at the alarming question raised. "That should be this full moon." Alpha Andrea finally answered even with Fiona's intent to intrude, I smirked behind my puffy face from the food I was trying hard to masticate. "Oh I see, that is perfect timing, the season of the Moon Goddess, blessing the Aloha and his Luna, we could have what such auspicious date, but we're so engrossed in each other that as a common Gemma and Omega we choose a normal day." Matt let out his hand scrolling through his phone and Alpha Andrea's eyes were red, and the redness I could see calming to purple anytime soon.

Layla was reading a book in Riven's bedroom, curled on the couch with a blanket over her. She had taken a dozen books from the library, including the one her mother gave her, though she hesitated to open it. Her dark hair was piled on top her head in a high ponytail and she was dressed in a simple yellow gown that hugged her slender waist and flared out elegantly, stopping a little above her knees. Her feet were bare and tucked underneath her on the couch.

I do not want to scare the little ones who might still be playing outdoors. So I pull the shawl tighter around my face, making sure to cover everything but my eyes. A flock of birds fly overhead and a peek at the sky tells me that the sun is starting to set. Another day lost, we have to hurry. Time is not on our side, at least, in my case, it is not on mine. Damnit, I have to stop wallowing in self-pity. It's unlike me at all. I am Laurel Moon, the first female Beta and the fiercest warrior to ever grace this land-

It’s just always been the Moon Goddess’s intention to make our true mates pureblood werewolves as well. Layla was a pureblood. She was also gorgeous. But I can’t think about her right now. I need to go into the human town close by and deal with a few more things before the Solstice Celebration. I let my Beta know that I’m leaving before hopping on my motorcycle and ride into the nearby town, Ashland.

The deeper they went, the colder the air became. Dust floated through the narrow beams of light. Rows of towering shelves appeared in the darkness below—filled with scrolls older than kingdoms. Secrets forgotten by the world. If answers about the mysterious moon existed… They would be hidden here. Lyra walked between the towering shelves slowly. Her mark pulsed again. And somewhere deep in the library… something shifted in the shadows. Unseen. Watching. Waiting. The Thirteenth Moon had risen. And its story had only just begun. 🌙

I said my voice low. The wolfen looked at me and Kade with concern. One of the older wolfen stepped closer, “It’s Miss Lyra, isn’t it.” Kade nodded and took the lead. “As we all know that tonight is the time for the Bloodmoon to appear.” Everyone nodded. “Well, we have discovered that Lyra is the Moonborn mentioned in the legends.” “How is that possible? It’s only a myth and Lyra is a human, her scent didn’t indicate any sort of wolf.” Another spoke.

“Shayla and Krone were not the only ones, for there were others who we granted the same blessing. But the Moon Goddess soon realised that she’s created something others were trying to recreate. Many worshipped false god’s in the hopes they’d be granted an eternal mate. Some performed rituals and spells, then sacrificed the other half of themselves, believing they would be reborn and find each other again. “People were driven mad because of what they believed, so Selene vowed never to grant eternal mates again. All evidence was wiped out, so none could try to recreate Selene’s spell. However, the book was written by Glory Dalgaard, who had somehow worked out that she was once Shayla. It docum

The oilcloth had done its job perfectly, protecting her words through the river, through the cliff fall, through everything. For the first time since this whole nightmare began, Lyralei smiled. A real, genuine smile that reached her eyes and made her chest feel less hollow for just a moment. This was hers. Her story. Her words. The final manuscript in her series, the only one that hadn’t been published yet. The other books were already out in the world under her pen name—L.R.—but this one existed only in these pages. She traced her fingers over the title page. *Moon Rising: Book Four*.

It wasn't fair to Mia to be so distant for the last week and then call her in the ungodly hours of the morning to drop these burdens on her. But she had to do something. With a sigh, she looked around her room for a moment. The quiet, gloomy space threatened to overwhelm her. That's when her eyes landed on the book about vampires she'd loaned from the library all those weeks ago. Something clicked in her mind. Standing from the bed, she stalked to her desk and powered up her laptop before sitting down. Pulling the heavy book into her lap, Layla started to flip through it. There was no way in h*ll that some blood-sucking a*shole vampires were going to take her for granted any longer! Not Rava
