"Don’t ruin the evening with what-ifs like that," I grumble, pulling her close just as voices begin to call out the rising of the moon. "Shall we go?" I ask, beginning to lead her toward the large glass windows that separated us from a balcony that overlooked Crimson Tides backgrounds and the starry sky.
Nodding, Ayla follows and then rests her body against me while I wrap my arms around her and nestle my chin in her hair puff.
"You’re going to mess up my hair," she grumbles, but she doesn’t fight to make me move.
