Novel & Cerita Layla Moon Books

Atlas’ POV “Luna Onyx, good morning.” One of my wolves greeted the woman that damn near took my breath away everytime our eyes met as she walked beside me through the halls. That title sounded so good, and I would never get tired of hearing it knowing the meaning behind it.

I asked with another threatening yell, and she was visibly shaken. “I’m Layla..Layla, Layla Luther,” she stuttered and I frowned. What was the moon goddess trying to do? No way a Lutheran could be my mate.

“Good girl. It will make you stronger.” The child leaned against her, eyelids growing heavy. “Mommy… do you think the moon dreams are bad?” Lyra hesitated, brushing a lock of dark hair from Isla’s face. “No, my love. Dreams can’t hurt you. They just mean the moon is watching over you.” But in her heart, fear twisted like a blade. The moon did not simply watch. It remembered. When Isla finally fell asleep, Lyra sat alone by the window, staring out at the silver light washing over the snow. Her hands trembled as she rested them on the wooden sill.

When I finally step into the hallway, the whispers return, softer this time but heavier. “She’s cursed.” “The rulers marked her. She won’t last the week.” “The curse of the Moon is already taking hold.” I clutch the edge of my apron and walk faster, ignoring the chill that slides down my spine. Because deep down, I know they’re right. Something inside me is changing. My dreams have been darker, filled with whispers I can’t understand and glowing chains that pulse beneath my skin. And every time one of them—Kaelen, Valrik, or Caelir—gets too close…the mark on my throat burns hotter.

The deeper they went, the colder the air became. Dust floated through the narrow beams of light. Rows of towering shelves appeared in the darkness below—filled with scrolls older than kingdoms. Secrets forgotten by the world. If answers about the mysterious moon existed… They would be hidden here. Lyra walked between the towering shelves slowly. Her mark pulsed again. And somewhere deep in the library… something shifted in the shadows. Unseen. Watching. Waiting. The Thirteenth Moon had risen. And its story had only just begun. 🌙

A murmur rippled through the chamber. “The priestesses say Luna is testing us,” another elder said. “That the girl is a vessel—” “She is not a vessel,” I cut in. Silence fell. Elder Cian’s gaze sharpened. “Then what is she, Alpha?” I didn’t answer. Because the truth had begun to settle in my bones, heavy and unwelcome. Lyra was not channeling the moon. The moon was responding to her. LYRA The light wouldn’t let me sleep.

I slammed a piece of paper that contained my detailed plan to sabotage her in front of Hera. “The ninth hour? What's so special about the ninth hour?” She asked while reading through the plan. “Layla draws her power from the moon, all of it” I told her that I’d found out after weeks of intensive research. “However, the ninth hour is a chance of a lifetime where there's an eclipse and the moon will be hidden behind the sun for a few hours” I sat beside her as I explained better. Just then, realization spread on her face and I watched her eyes light up.

Layla folded the blanket comfortably around him before beginning. “Long ago,” she said softly, “before this pack was as strong as it is today, there lived a small wolf cub.” Daniel shifted slightly closer, listening carefully. “This cub was brave,” Layla continued. “But he was also very small, and sometimes the storms frightened him.” Another rumble of thunder rolled through the night, almost as if the sky itself was responding to her story. “But the Moon Goddess watched over him,” she said. Daniel’s eyes grew curious. “Did she?”

Chapter 229: Everything suddenly felt right once again as Layla found her mother and her father's wealth was handed over to her. It was almost too easy but after facing all she did, it felt just right. Back at the pack, anticipation in the air was palpable as they prepared for the upcoming full moon, a sacred event that called for celebration and unity. The responsibility of orchestrating the festivities fell upon Layla, the soon-to-be crowned Luna. Tradition dictated that the Luna took charge of the arrangements, ensuring that the celebration unfolded smoothly and joyfully.

With James gone, this section of the web was fraying. “Push!” I roared, my voice cutting through the din. Crescent Moon surged forward. Forest Lake answered. The line advanced three paces in unison, boots and paws tearing up blood-soaked ground. Kayla lifted both hands, palms outward, and the earth responded. A jagged ridge erupted along our flank, splitting the battlefield and forcing the hybrids into a narrower front. It was a simple move that showed how much she’d learned since she left Blood Moon, how much she’d grown.
