A Little Stepmother in Trouble
She felt it against her back and reached one hand blindly behind her, wanting to swat it away without actually killing it—especially not while it was still on her.
The kids woke up and stared at her, wide-eyed.
"Diana?" one of them asked.
She had no idea which one. All she cared about was those little claws sliding down her spine until she felt them slip out from under her shirt and land right on her butt.
Crying from the shock of it, she started swaying her hips like she was back on the bar at the pub where she used to work.
"Look, Nathan, she's dancing like Shakira!"
"Kiiiiids, please," she begged. "Get this thing off me!"
