HIS PAST: HIS BRIDE

And part of me hates myself for that. But another part, knows I did what I had to do to survive. I left. I uprooted my entire life and disappeared, and some nights I feel guilty for ditching him the way I did, he might lose his inheritance because our marriage didn’t last four years. The will demanded it, four years of marriage, but it never specified to whom. Just that he had to remain married He’s probably married by now. Probably has everything he ever wanted. Married to my fiancé's father

Married to my fiancé's father

My head was spinning, my heart was breaking, and my body was crashing. “My wife. My life,” he rasped and he shuddered, his final thrust deep before he stilled and spilled inside me. His breathing ragged, his chest rose and fell with each breath, and I listened to his breathing as everything around us stilled. My hands wrapped around him, holding on to him for the last time. Tears prickling behind my closed eyelids, and I didn’t dare to move, or risk breaking down into a full blown sobbing. Three years ago, I told my husband I loved him. He sent me away.

Sixty-Six Burned Favors

Sixty-Six Burned Favors

My phone slipped from my hand and hit the ground with a thud. Pain tore through me, and finally, tears fell. However, what came next was an odd sense of relief. I Left My Cheating Husband

I Left My Cheating Husband

I ate my pasta and said with a smile, “I’ve gotten rid of all my emotional baggage. Of course I feel more energetic!” Professor Fiona asked what I would do if Gregory refused to file for a divorce. I stared at the dunes and nonchalantly answered, “Let him be. I’ll travel all over the world with the team anyway. If he insists on keeping that marriage certificate to himself, so be it. After all, he won’t be able to find me even if he wants to cause a fuss over this.” The marriage certificate had long since become meaningless, just like our marriage. When night fell, one of my juniors sang “On Top of the World” while he played the guitar.

The Contract Wife (English)

The Contract Wife (English)

Neil replied confidently, and he raised our hand that were intertwined to show to them our ring as proof of our marriage. “B-But, you did not inform us. How come you did not tell us, my son?” the Queen whined with a heavy heart, that I can sense because they weren’t invited to our wedding. “Mom, I really did not tell you all because I want my life to be private. And the reason why I left for seven years, remember?” he reasoned out as if it’s not a big deal. Wait, seven years? He left his home for seven years?

My Best Friend's Father

My Best Friend's Father

“What about now?” “I spent nine years missing you, and I don’t want to miss another. Come to Denver with me. We can start over where no one knows us. Settle down and get married.” “We can’t.” “We can. You love me, and I love you.” “It’s been nine years, Cole.” “And I never forgot you.” “I’m in love with someone else. I loved you then, but…” I shake my head as tears run down my cheeks. “He’s almost twice your age and your friend’s father.”

This book is absolutely amazing. Make sure you have tissue, there are some very emotional chapters. This book was well written and the character Brandi had so many obstacles in her way. The supporting characters were great as well. You'll go thru every possible emotion while reading this. Well done.

My Husband Regretted Divorcing Me

My Husband Regretted Divorcing Me

It was a view she had once loved—one that had made her believe she had stepped into a life most women only dreamed of. Tonight, it felt like a painting she no longer belonged in. Behind her, laughter drifted from the grand dining hall. Bright. Carefree. Cruel. Lena closed her eyes briefly. Three years of marriage. And somehow, she had never felt more alone than she did tonight—on her anniversary. “You’re hiding again.” The voice was soft, familiar. Lena turned. Sarah stood at the doorway, her expression caught between concern and quiet frustration. “I’m not hiding,” Lena said gently. “I’m… taking a breather.”
