Natalie realized that Yvonne was worried she might cave, so she cleared her throat and gave her a solemn reassurance, saying, "You can rest assured that any feelings I had for Lester died four years ago, Yvonne." Yvonne let out a sigh of relief after hearing Natalie's response, then reminded her to get some rest before leaving the hotel. Natalie, exhausted from the long-haul flight, fell into a deep sleep that lasted until the following morning. She woke up and checked the time, only to realize that the scheduled meeting between Allen and Starlight Media was fast approaching. She hurriedly got ready and headed straight to the meeting location. … Lester sat in the conference room at Starlight

Freaking two months! I need to get out of here before the wedding day. Damn it! I don't have much time. I need to work more, cause building back the whole machine right from the scratch isn't a joke. Thank heavens, I have most of the equipment. Also, I need the find out the exact coordinates which would take me back home.

He hits his forehead lightly and traces his palm downwards the back of his head, exhaling deeply. "Damn! I had forgotten that you'd be leaving", he says. "That's fine. You have too much work" "Yeah. But still, okay— when are you leaving? I mean— what time?" I can't get convinced by his tone. He seems to be off, lost, and suddenly apprehensive. "Around four", I tell him. "It'll be a long way so" "Okay!" He shakes his head. "Anything wrong, Kane?" I ask him.

The windshield wipers swung hard and fast, slicing through the water in layers again and again. The moment Levi said "It's not easy", I watched the red numbers above his head jump again, changing from [327 days, 4 hours, 47 minutes] straight to [289 days, 10 hours, 12 minutes]. All because of a casual, empathetic remark, the countdown to the day he would be leaving me emotionally shortened by more than a month. I closed my eyes, feeling a slight twist in my stomach. "Is the air conditioning a bit too strong for you?" Levi suddenly asked.

The deep layer sent: WE REQUIRE TRANSITION TIME. Root: “Granted.” No arbitrary deadline. The field tried: ESTIMATED OPTIMAL CLOSURE WINDOW: 17 MINUTES. Everyone shouted: “No!” Lucas laughed. “Finally.” The field paused. Then:

29 September 1272 Tuesday This, the last semester is slowly coming to an end, which means if we're close to the end, it's exam time. Exam time means studying and a lot of it. It's been over two weeks, Levi has come to my room however I had to tell him to leave, unfortunately. Having to focus on studying. It broke my heart to see how excited he was and then to see him turn cold once I told him I needed some alone time. Today is different, today I have time. I open my room door, excited to see Levi but my heart sinks as he is nowhere to be found.

I brimmed with happiness, smiling from ear to ear. "Alright Nathan, we leave in a week. We must get everything prepared and ready”

Neil Waller had a strange way of handling every fight between us. He called it a reconciliation mystery box. Whenever we argued, he would block me for three days. Then, as if nothing had happened, a link would suddenly appear on my phone. His message usually went something like this: "Open it. If you get 'Better Luck Next Time,' leave me alone. If you get a reconciliation coupon, maybe I'll forgive you." For years, I played along. The punishments changed every time. Sometimes, I had to put up with another week of being ignored. Sometimes, Neil made me apologize in front of other people. Once, I opened the mystery box while he was having dinner with another woman, only for him to
