24 hours! You have got to be kidding me.

“Sorry about your job. Alright bye. Talk to you later.” If anyone had told him last week that Clara would be sitting in my penthouse, he would have burst out in laughter. He would have laughed so hard in their faces. During the three days she has been here, Aiden tried so hard to avoid her. He left for work before she woke up. By the time he got back from work, she would have retired to bed. She goes to bed early, and he knew it was due to the whole engagement announcement stress.

She sighed and retracted herself back from the painful memory and looked at her watch . "13 more hours to go . "

They were doing me a favor. “Our business hours are eleven o'clock in the morning to seven in the evening. That will all be known to you when you start booking appointments for us.” Chase added. “Honestly, I don't think you would need to be here for the full eight hours a day without getting bored. With what we will have you doing, I think one to seven work best for you.” Joyce said and her brother looked at her and my brother then to me. “Unless you need the hours for money, if not, she is right. You don't need to be here that whole time.” He agreed with her and my brother nodded.

It was already midnight. "Just 16 hours more."

Eighteen hours. The compound was ready. I was going to make sure it stayed that way.

I huff, "But trust me here, It's mandatory!" He looks down at his watch and sighs, "3 hours 20 minutes and counting."

One could easily swear that she didn't know what was going on between her partner and her younger sister, Ifunanya. "How many hours are in a day?" Ifunanya asked sharply. "About twenty-four hours," Ifenna responded quickly. "How many minutes make up an hour?" "Are you serious?" Ifenna laughed like a mad man who had just fallen from the top of a tree. "Are you going to give me an answer? Or are you going to be quiet and just give me the liberty to watch you laugh at me because you don't know what I am trying to achieve here?" "Sixty minutes make up an hour," Ifenna said, trying to be serious.

I said. The burner buzzed again new message. TWENTY-FOUR HOURS. I locked eyes with Adrian. “Good,” I said. “I only need twelve.” He almost smiled.

“You remember what arguing with me does to you. Might want to check under the table.” My eyes widened. “You’re kidding.” He smirked, cocking a brow. “Go on, take a peek. I know you’re curious.” Once the drinks were mostly gone and my nerves had stopped buzzing quite so loudly, we finally settled into something that resembled real conversation. “How many hours do you log in that tower of yours every day?” “I’m usually in by seven-thirty. Out around seven.” “Twelve hours a day? That’s a seventy-hour work week.”
