he claimed. "I understand, Mr. Sadler," I responded softly. Andrew went silent for a moment on the other end of the call before he hung up. My knuckles whitened as I gripped my phone tightly. Night had befallen the city at this point. I was going to return to that house and retrieve my personal documents before leaving for good. This entire year of "treatment" had only taught me one thing—how to gracefully walk away and never look back.

The kind that made men answer their phones at any hour of the day. I hated her immediately. And I hated myself more for hating her. The workday dragged on. I sat through back-to-back meetings, but my mind wasn't in any of them. Around 10 AM, I noticed Adrian leaving his office. He didn't say where he was going. He just stood up and walked out, leaving his assistant to reschedule a client presentation. At lunch, Olivia, my loyal assistant who somehow always knew everything, leaned against my desk with two coffees in hand.

Do you still not get it, Chester Ford? I've long had enough of you. "I've already signed the divorce agreement, and I'll let my lawyer handle the following procedures. There's no need for us to meet again," I replied calmly. I didn't give him the chance to talk. As soon as I finished speaking, I removed my phone's SIM card and snapped it in half, then tossed the pieces into a trash can nearby. I'd originally planned to wait a month to complete the divorce procedures before leaving. My plans had changed, though. I had to leave by tonight.

One month left. I was going to make every second count.

I said. "Right now you can't leave today, I'm having a party, we are going to celebrate that we are back, you can pack your things, but you have to be here tonight and after the party or tomorrow you could leave, for god sake what's the hurry," he said exalted. I could sense that he was upset, by my decision, but he was already taken. "It was a surprise I had for you, the party today, but apparently it is no longer a surprise, enjoy tonight and you can leave tomorrow," Dilan said and left annoyed.

Zia Stephanie's POV I felt like time begun to lose its meaning. The passage of time felt like it was heavenly distorted where space time worked into different scale on the other dimension. What should only be a few minutes seemed like I had endured dew hours and what might feel like small width of time could be extensive.

Jenna honey I'm leaving " stated Carla my assistant. As she walked out the door. Breaking the silence in the restaurant. There was only me and him now. I started to get up and walked behind the bar he's still sitting there following my every move. I said to him " I need to lock up you need to leave" he nodded his head and walked towards the door. Turning around he asked " what time do you start tomorrow," "five pm " I said. "I'll be here at four we can continue to talk more, " and walked out.
