Leaving Time Novels & Stories

"Anything else?" I raise a brow, glancing at each person in the room. All heads shake no. "Good. We leave in six hours, twelve pm on the dot. Let's meet in front of the building with everyone thirty minutes beforehand so we can put people into groups. Levi, go call your guy." I jerk my head towards the door, and he nods, quickly digging his phone out of his pocket and leaving. My eyes wander back to Willow, who is staring at the closed front door.

“Probably not.” A quiet laugh escaped him. The sound vibrated warmly through his chest beneath her cheek. Then silence settled again. Comfortable this time. The kind that no longer needed to be filled constantly. Eventually the rain outside softened into a drizzle while pale sunlight brightened the room further. Adrian glanced toward the clock on the wall and sighed quietly. “I need to leave for the luncheon in an hour.” Ava blinked upward. “Already?” His expression shifted instantly at her tone. Noticing.

You choose to be that way, even if you say you were just influenced or that it is the behavior of your parents or relatives. “Yeah, whatever,” she said. Kaizer just laughed softly. He knew he won that round. “What time is it?” Alicia asked him. Kaizer looked at his wristwatch. “Four p.m. We’re leaving at seven,” Kaizer said. Alicia nodded in response.

"So, I guess it's goodbye?" Dad called us while we were looking at the time machine in front of us. This is the time machine that he used to go here since we can't get the time machine back from the government and it'll take us years before we can even build one. He took care of this already and today is when we are supposed to leave. Today is when we're supposed to turn our back away from happiness and I guess, I'm ready for this.

Jasmine was trying to comfort him but he interrupted her too. “So, what time are you both leaving?” “We were thinking maybe at around 14:00.” “Nah-ah, make that 13:00,” Jack said. “Oh okay,” Stefen said without raising any more questions. At 13:00, both Jasmine and Stefen walked down to the living area with their suitcases. “J?” Stefen called. “J?” he called again hearing no response. “WE ARE LEAVING, WHERE ARE YOU?” the echo was audible in the whole apartment yet Jack did not answer.

He finished. I wasn't lying when I said I loved this bighead. "Well what are you waiting for, I have about fourty eight minutes before I leave." I said with a grin he gladly returned as he hugged me and we cuddled up watching funny videos on his phone and bringing up experiences that were alike to what happened thereby extending the never fading conversation. I checked the time and realized I had five minutes till I had to leave. "Baby, I have to leave in five minutes." I said making a frown crawl up on his beautiful face.

“You took your time.” He pretended to be surprised and pressed a hand to his chest and pretended to swipe at an imaginary teardrop at the corner of his eye. “You waited for me.” Keyah bit her cheek to suppress the smile. He did not look adorable when trying to be funny. She did not find him funny, she reminded herself. “We have to leave in two days’ time. Get your business in order before that.” “Two days? Don’t be absurd! It’ll take longer than that.”

“… next Thursday. One week from now.” Her years of training empowered her to keep a neutral expression, while inside she performed a whoop of delight. Now that was the moment she’d been waiting for. Knowing that her thick lashes would cover her eyes, she nodded demurely giving him the impression that she was agreeing to his proposal and waited until he dropped her to her apartment to get things going. With her mind already reeling with alternatives, she would book her flight day after tomorrow itself as she needed the time to sort out her business matters during her absence first. She did not care it was a close call, as long as she would be there before Dev.

“I can't leave now, Miss Yvette.” “Why so?” “The boss's orders,” he replied coldly. I nodded, not wanting to argue with him either. “How much time do I have left here?” “Hours. Three hours and twenty-nine minutes, to be exact.” “That's 1:30?!” “You got it right.”

Vivi asked. "They should be if what I think about time travel is true." Leo shrugged. "We can still save our past self." Adi said in excitement. "Mhm. I think so." Leo nodded. "Ah, we will be traveling before 30th December. So Ada and Lenn will be alive, hiding somewhere." Alex said in realization. "Perhaps" Leo replied. "When will we be leaving?" Vivian enquired. "Tomorrow early morning. I would have said now but if the hourglass took us to the past at night, it would be inconvenient for us to find any accommodations." Leo reasoned.
