Chapter seven Leila's POV His voice vibrated with so much authority, I almost went down on my knees. He was the Lycan King whose anonymous name spelts doom. I was truly going to die in the hands of the brutal Lycan King. The one who had wrecked many lives without any regret. His eyes wandererd to where I was. His eyes squinted a bit as he watched me like a predator ready to feast on my soul.

The beast groans, inducing terror in me, wrecking my cool. Why does he seem so curious?

“Let’s focus on what we need to do.” “Sure,” said Layla, shifting back in her seat and scanning the trench that stretched out parallel to the dusty road they were traversing. “It’s up there on the right.” “Okay,” said Carter. “We will overshoot it then double back on foot.” As they flew past the barrels, Mira eyed them carefully, counting seven and noting the skull and crossbones insignia on each one. “This is a hell of a world we live in,” she said to herself, though Carter caught the sentiment, pressing his mouth into a determined line in response.

"The white tiger. It's one of the Four Celestials, but why is it here?" Landon replied calmly, "Only you will know the answer once you remember." Aria sighed. "At this point, I'm starting to doubt I built this place at all. The Four Celestials look no different from ferocious beasts." “No, my dear, you are not.” She turned her head toward the magnificent beast, “Then what happened?” “The power within has been awakened, that is all.” Evrah scoffed, “That is all?”, she laughed a bit. “You say that as if, It was a small insignificant matter.” She rolled onto her side and took up a sitting position, glancing around. Albian and Foxfire sat a few feet away, and the herd was gone. In fact, all the animals she had spotted before were gone. It was just the four of them.

She sits up straight in her chair, leaning in. I nod. “Well, imagine something like one of those beasts—the long snout, pointy fangs, enormous tongue that doesn’t quite fit, uncontrollable slobbering, mangy fur, and these evil-looking unholy eyes. Imagine being caught somewhere between that wolf-like creature and a human. Mangled, twisted bones set at strange angles with patches of skin and tufts of fur.” I shake my head, my stomach turning just thinking about it. No, I can’t allow her to see me. Bexley isn’t leaning away from me. She doesn’t get up and dart out the door. Instead, she reaches a hand across the table. My paw lies within her reach. I want to pull it away, but I don’t.

Before l can think of something to do my eyes almost popped up from their sockets when Venus's shifted into a beast too. I was so shocked that l didnt notice the beast black in color almost teared my fresh. If it's not a big brown beast that bounced on it, l would have been dead by now.. The brown beast teared the black one and it gave out aloud howling. It kept on struggling against the brown who was in control. I took a glance at my sorroundings still shivering. And realization hit me hard that there is no single human left apart from me. Where is Alex, Ron and other students? Did they also turn into beasts like Venus.
