I’m way more invested in the complicated dynamics the canon set up, and a lot of fics just slap them together without that same tension. The few I’ve liked tend to be AU-driven, where the whole ‘beast-man’ societal conflict is removed or altered. There was this one modern university AU where Juno was a pre-law student and Legoshi worked campus security—their interactions felt more grounded in that setting, with Juno ambitious and Legoshi quietly protective in a non-predatory way.

If you’re dead-set on searching, your best shot is filtering for ‘Juno/Legoshi’ on AO3 and sorting by kudos or bookmarks from the last few years. The pairing tag isn’t super active, so the top ones are usually older. I’d skip anything labeled ‘fluff’ unless you want something tooth-achingly sweet that ignores their characters; the ‘angst’ tag might yield more interesting, conflicted explorations. Sometimes crossovers with more noir-style settings work, too, because you can transplant their inherent drama into a detective or crime storyline.

The dynamic in those fics often hinges on a tension between Legoshi's overwhelming instinct to protect and his deep-seated social anxiety, and Juno's ambitious drive that's constantly bumping against the societal limits placed on her.
