As my tears subsided and a glimmer of determination sparked within me, a chilling laughter echoed through the room. I turned, my eyes widening in disbelief, to see Leah standing there, a wicked smile dancing upon her lips. Her clapping hands filled the air, taunting me with their mocking applause.
"Oh, Bloom, how pathetic you are," Leah sneered, her voice dripping with contempt. "Crying and wishing for a different life? Dreaming of a world where you're not a lowly slave? It's truly laughable."
