The Lycan King's Curse

The Lycan King's Curse

I observed her in these moments of deep thought, her face a canvas of concentration, her lips softly mouthing the titles she sought. Her scattered thoughts were evident, as she occasionally muttered to herself, trying to piece together fragmented memories. "I remember seeing it here... or was it on that shelf?" Her voice carried a faint hint of frustration, an indication of her ongoing struggle to organize her library's vast collection within her own mind. Undeterred by her momentary lapses, Lucy would press on, her gaze flitting from one book to another, as if hoping for a sudden recollection to guide her. It was a dance of curiosity and forgetfulness, a testament to her unique approach to

The Alpha Assassin

The Alpha Assassin

“Here,” Ezra said, sliding something soft and familiar into my hands. My cheeks were flushed, and I forced myself to look at what he handed me. It was a dark leather book that was titled ‘The History of The Betas of Black River.” I recognized this book from the library; it never seemed important enough to even skim through, though. I raised a brow at him, waiting for him to explain.

Miss M
Great story! Very well written with a strong main character and storyline. Well developed characters that you can sympathize with and dislike their actions at the same time. Would be awesome if there was a prequel story and just waiting on the sequel. Mar 27/24

Such a refreshing read!!! STRONG female lead. This was so different and so insanely satisfying. It has everything, drama, love, friendship, rebuilding. You’ll laugh and cry and go on an emotional roller coaster but it’s worth it. I’m going to re read it now

The Luna Who Remembered

The Luna Who Remembered

he warned. I gulped down my fear, but my hands still shook reverently and I struggled hard to relax my stiffened frame. The distrustful eyes being planted on me incited memories that I thought I had buried years ago. Memories of a young girl walking aimlessly in the forest, her tiny frame covered in blood from head to toe and being rescued by a young beta. The little girl is adopted by the man and his wife, and she is soon titled princess and all her past life is washed away. If you haven’t realised yet, the young beta was my father and you

Hot Shot Divorce

Hot Shot Divorce

Luke muttered discontentedly. To this, Liam added, "Take out the third book on the top row, seventh column. It's 'Jack: Straight from the Gut.'" Kelvin had someone bring a ladder. He climbed up and found that the book on the specified spot was indeed the book Liam mentioned. That was incredible! How did Liam do that? "Are you curious about how I remember them?" Liam, still engrossed in his work, said without looking up, "Because I've read all the books on these shelves, and I remember every detail."

Not transaction records or financial data as I expected. A scanned letter. Handwritten. I recognized the handwriting from an old alumni photo. Lena Tao had written it herself and it was addressed to Adrian.

THE SILENT LUNA

THE SILENT LUNA

Directly. Without drama. Without accusation. The accurate account. Offered as information. Received. The cultural memory being slowly corrected. Not through official channels. Through the people who had been there. Saying clearly what they had seen. Lyra had written: She learned that from you. I did not teach her to name things. You named things in a clearing a year ago and it traveled here. Sera set the letter down. Looked at the window. At the late summer light. At the garden.

Mister Dream Man

Mister Dream Man

"I think my brain is leaking." He laughed. "I'll get the mop." Leticia, from the corner, smiled without looking up from her embroidery. "Brains grow from use, not rest." I rolled my eyes. "Easy for someone who already knows everything." "I don't," she said, threading the needle with ease. "But I do know you're almost there." One day, while organizing old receipts, I caught her tucking something into the back of a drawer. A small envelope. I recognized the crest on it, my college.

When the Heart Remembers

When the Heart Remembers

Don't be stupid—" But before he could finish his little speech, Michael's voice boomed from the stage. He said slowly, his gaze sweeping over the crowd, "Actually, I already knew Aurora was at that party." The whole room froze. Audrey, my parents, and even I were stunned. Wait. Did that mean he remembered me that night? Even under the influence of the drug? My chest tightened as a bad feeling prickled at me. Audrey, though, thought Michael was finally speaking in her defense. Her chin lifted high again, her voice smug and loud.

He smiled. "Welcome to the library, how may I help you?" He asked again. I stared at him, thinking, that maybe he have what I wanted. I moved my long arms and placed a scrunched note on the table. Right after I woke up a few years ago, I wrote what I can remember so when the time comes, I can go back to where I came from. But what I can remember was a single title that might be something that I have in the past. "Do you mean, "Lore of Elm" from Ryzinka?"

Leesa's Advent

Leesa's Advent

When she shifted her gaze back to Leesa, her eyes locked onto Leesa’s book. “Hey, what’s that?” she asked, pointing to the book. “It looks really old.” Leesa glanced down at the book, trying to think of something to tell Cali. She wished she had a magic wallet like Dominic’s that she could hide things in. Thinking of the wizard gave her an idea. “It’s Dominic’s,” she said. “I’m holding it for him.” “What’s in it?” Cali asked. Leesa shook her head. “I don’t have a clue. It’s all written in Romanian or something.”
