It was a few hours to the ball and I was getting myself ready. I’d decided I wanted to look totally different so I decided to dye my hair. I had ordered some products and following the instructions, I mixed them and applied them to my hair. I also watched an instructional video online. After about 20-25 minutes, I stood in front of the bathroom sink, my hair covered in a messy blob of bleach. As I rinsed out the bleach, I watched in horror as chunks of my hair fell out. I had been going for a subtle blonde, but it seemed I had gotten the mixture all wrong.

Her expression was a carefully composed mask, waiting for it. "W…what happened to your hair?" I finally managed, the words clumsy. My eyes traced the impossible transformation. Her rich, dark hair was now starkly parted. One side remained its familiar deep brown, but the other… the other was a cascade of pure, shimmering silver, as if moonlight had been woven directly into the strands. |ELENA’S POV| I spent the last four days watching YouTube videos on how to bleach my hair by continuously testing it out on the wigs that I brought with me when I traveled down to Orion but no matter how much I tried, I couldn’t get it right so I ended up braiding my hair into a messy corn row, putting on a bald cap and trying to alter my hair color by installing one of my favorite blonde asymmetrical bob frontal wigs that I was going to use for Halloween.

I'll list down the herbs for you again. Just soak them in warm water and use the extract to wash your hair. If you keep at it for a few more days, your hair become black, thick, and smooth! You'll look twenty years younger too, just like all those young girls!" Judith rolled her eyes at Severin. "I'm in my forties now, Severin! I can't be as beautiful as a twenty-year-old girl! I'm already happy enough that my hair is turning black again."
