The little old librarian with white curly hair, rimmed spectacles, and flowery dress smiles at me warmly across the tables when I pass her by and leaves me to browse. I must admit, I love the smell and aura of ancient books, the feeling of being surrounded by old, treasured pages. Back home my own library is my favourite place to spend time. Books retain some sort of presence from past readers, and it can be felt in the air all around me because I’m sensitive to energy vibrations in all things, be they living or not. A warm familiar sensation comes from books, like a gentle breeze on a hot day, or a soothing hug when you need it most, and that relaxes me. It’s because books are beloved thing

“This is the narrowed selection?” The librarian nods at me, giving us both an eager smile. “Thank you,” Roger says, smiling back at her warmly. “I’ll be here if you need me,” the librarian says, gesturing towards the desk at the head of the room. “But please, make yourself at home. Just…” she hesitates, looking between us. “Please no…food or drink…around the books.” “We promise,” Roger says, giving her the most charming smile I’ve ever seen from him. “We’ll protect the books at all costs. No sticky fingers here.” The librarian blushes, then giggles, and scurries away.

Well, what are you looking for? "Ah erm books about the creatures in this world?" I voiced out when suddenly my eyes glanced upon a particular book with a moving branches cover. It fascinated me so much that I almost touched it when the librarian grabs my hand. She hisses, "Those books are off limits." The librarian then narrows her gaze at me doubting my curiousity. She slithers away and extends her body to reach out for books and gave them to me saying, "Here's all the books containing all that you have to know. The primary creatures of our world."

So I watched the people. One evening, I intentionally returned a book much later than necessary. The librarian smiled warmly as she accepted it. "You've been reading quite a lot, Luna." "I'm trying to understand the dynasty." She laughed softly. "Books help." "They do." I smiled back "But conversations help more." she said, again I tilted my head. "What kind of conversations?" "The ones people don't realize they're having." I smiled. "I'll remember that." She smiled back. We spoke for another fifteen minutes. About nothing important. Or so it appeared.
