Libraries Ebooks Novels & Stories

Ellie’s POV The library was smaller than I expected, really just one long room at the back of the meeting house. But it was packed full, the shelves stretching all the way from the floor to the ceiling. Small, but mighty; exactly what I needed. The section on local plant life was tucked between a section on historical accounts and fiction novels, which was an interesting method of organization, to say the least. To my dismay, there were only three books in the entire section. Not so mighty, I supposed.

E L L E How did I only just discover that there was literally a huge library room full of books in this mansion. It was like living in a dream, where all you have to do is ask for something, and it would be done. The library had all sorts of books. Novels, short stories, history, biographies, self-help books, poetry, and many more. It was truly heaven. Mikhail was out to get some of our luggages that weren’t complete from the airport. Avery and Gio were in their bedroom.

I let out a long breath I didn’t know I was holding, and walked toward the library. The room was huge, with tall shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, filled with thousands of books. There were books about history, science, art, and politics, but most of all, there were books and files about business, finance, and power. They were arranged perfectly, organized in ways that made sense only to someone who knew how the world worked.

Cain flips open the green book in his hand and Safira opens the one in hers. They stare at me and I smile sheepishly before walking over to one of the shelves and picking up the first green book I see. I smirk as I walk back to my seat. “What are the odds that I picked the book the librarian was telling us about?” Cain chuckles. “There are over one hundred green leather-bound books in here, different shades and different sizes, so let’s say the chances are pretty slim. The book is probably thicker than that.” Safira nods. “A history of Lycan and werewolf magics sounds like something that lives in a thick tome. Probably weighs a few pounds.”

She smiled, placing her hands on her waist. "Really? there's a library? Yes!" I clenched my right fist frantically in the air, excitement written all over me. Back at home, A Library was an abomination. I guess I forgot to mention there was a rule about books also? Well, here it goes. Eric had concluded that books lie. He had this ludicrous theory that books trap people. He said it's similar to a disease, a terrible sickness that has no cure. Makes humans rapted in an imaginary world, completely forgetting what reality brings.

In the last two days, Liana finished reading ten reference books, and when she finished the last one, she didn't seem satisfied. " What is it Lilih? Is something wrong? " Jack asked worriedly. " No, there's nothing wrong with them, it's just that they're all textbooks for programming students. Does your school have anything for professionals?" Liana asked curiously, and Jack was surprised. " So, these readings are all recommended by my teachers, and I can't understand even half of them. " he answered. " I understand, but all these books are intended for classroom reading, and the information provided is only at a rudimentary level. Do you have somewhere in mind where you could borrow books o

Mom supported me, not because she understood, but because she loved me and wanted me to be happy. I stood up and walked around the library, feeling a little restless. They had all of the classics, and some of them looked as though they were expensive copies. Other authors that I regularly read, such as James Patterson and Dean Koontz were on the shelves. They even had some of my female favorites, such as Lisa Jackson, Lisa Gardner and Heather Graham Pozzessere. Then I wondered down to another section where I found some more provocative books. They had a lot of erotica books. One huge volume stood out: The Kama Sutra.

Leila walked between the aisles, surrounded by old copper kettles, once fine German porcelain, toy trains, and oak plant stands trying hard not to look bored. One stall caught her eye—a pile of books, mostly battered children’s tales and lonely volumes of the classics not worth much without the rest of the lot. Some books looked interesting, bound in old tooled leather. Then something caught her eye. She spotted a volume in the middle of all that artful chaos. It was a thick, faded book with a tan leather binding. The title, The History and Artifacts of the Ancient Germanic Tribes, was elegantly crafted in gold letters. Leila’s pulse quickened. She was looking for this volume in the library

White bricks and glass windows and oaken doors—Librad had its own uniqueness among the other structures in Shavath. A warmer air, carrying the smoky and earthy scent of old books, greeted Larice as she entered through the double doors. Librad revealed no life inside. Only dust she spotted floating in the rays of the morning sunlight through the windows. Other than that, ancient-looking leather bounds there were—stored in a series of red oak shelves that almost touched the high ceiling.

I had considered asking Luna Sandra before, but given the way she replied to me about my stepsisters, I knew she wouldn’t grace me with an answer. I scrolled down the list that appeared until I found the section that said Legends, Myths, and Curses. There were other subtopics, but I had no time to go through them yet—perhaps later if I had the time. The books were arranged by letters and numbers, so I quickly wrote them down on a piece of paper and exited the page to erase the evidence of my search. My next task was to find the books. With the guidelines, moving through the library was easy now. I took the books down, sometimes having to use the ladder that leaned on every bookshelf. Most of
