A Yearning Beyond Years

A Yearning Beyond Years

The skyline was no longer just a backdrop; it was the frame of my new life. In the mornings, sunlight streamed through my apartment windows, catching on the spines of books stacked along the walls, my book among them, my story. The bestseller label still startled me every time I saw it. A part of me still whispered that it wasn’t real, that at any moment someone would expose me, laugh at me, remind me that women like me didn’t get happy endings. But then, laughter would break that thought apart… my children’s laughter.

Choosing One Life Over Another

Choosing One Life Over Another

As I heard him mention the scholarship incident, my mind drifted back to two years ago. I was four years older than Felix. The year he took his college entrance exam was my senior year in college. Knowing I couldn't rely on my parents, I had studied relentlessly since I was a child, determined to build a life for myself and escape this home. In college, I graduated at the top of my class four years in a row, landing me a postgraduate program with a world-renowned college. Meanwhile, Felix, who never took his studies seriously, failed the college entrance exam and returned home saying he wanted to study abroad.

ALPHA's Temptation

ALPHA's Temptation

Lora's mother had fled after giving birth to her daughter. She lifted the brick in the north corner of the room as she emptied the dungeon more carefully. "What is this book?" she inquired. The book was dusty, and the gold was almost faded, almost bronze. The title of the book was Life of the Witch. The book is about wizards and their interactions with the outer world. Lora read the book, sentence by sentence. A strange planet, yet she wished to visit it. The pages depicted a pleasant and quiet way of life. She saw herself growing up, her body perfect, producing beautiful curves with no scars, bruises, or blood flow in the corners of her lips.

A Year of Punishment

A Year of Punishment

The desolate figure seemed to whisper his endless remorse. From that day on, Zann Lima vanished from my life. As for Carter and me, we walked into marriage surrounded by love and blessings of family and friends, leaving the past behind and stepping into a future bright with light.

The Alpha Lords of Darkness (part one)

The Alpha Lords of Darkness (part one)

There was only one way she could return which was the door, so I shut and bolted it which gave me some confidence on the task ahead. The book, as I had already examined was a thick volume, brown at the corners, indicating the age of the pages, I could easily backdate them to about sixteen years ago, around the time I was born. The cover had no caption, but on the inner leaf where the words in coarse writing: “The Life of Veronica” For her daughters Lettie and May.

The Omega Luna's Revenge

The Omega Luna's Revenge

She brought it out at the gathering and set it on the table in front of Luna with the serious quality she brought to important presentations. It was a book. Small. Handmade. The pages were sewn together with care that was evident in every stitch. On the cover in Anya’s careful handwriting: Luna’s First Year. Inside, on each page, a drawing. Not web drawings. Not the theoretical or observational drawings Anya put in the archive. Personal ones. Luna in the small room with the good morning light on the day she was born, rendered from memory with the particular quality of Anya’s eye for what mattered.

Dying As Guard, Awakening As Bride

Dying As Guard, Awakening As Bride

"Excuse me. I attended this school five years ago. Do you have a yearbook where I can see the students from that time?" The librarian replied, "Of course. Some schools have yearbooks donated by students. But here, we have all the records. If you head to section C 24, you'll find all the yearbooks from the year 1986." "Thanks. I'll check it." Together with Gray, they looked for the yearbook five years ago. While searching, Gray asked, "Did you ever have a university crush?" "I never did. I wasn't interested in anyone," she replied before locating the yearbook and pulling it off the shelf.

The book is well-made. The plot is insane and as a fan of isekai, I enjoyed reading it. I love how the author convey the emotions of each the character. When I am reading other books, the characters just shout at each other and they don’t even explain the emotions they were feeling.

I love that the plot is fast pace but the emotions aren not. I am so tired reading books with unreasonable characters who always act impulsively. But the author of this book really conveys the character so well. If I finish this, I would like to read her other books. Thank you so much.

Pregnant for the Heartless Billionaire

Pregnant for the Heartless Billionaire

Elena’s POV One year changes everything. One year ago, my life was a battlefield, full of gunshots, betrayal, trials, tears, and the terror that kept me awake at night. Now… I stood under a canopy of marigolds and jasmine garlands, surrounded by music, laughter, colour, and warmth. It felt surreal, like stepping into a different universe. A universe where the sun shone brighter, where families gathered without fear, where joy didn’t feel borrowed or fragile.

Remember: Lost Love

Remember: Lost Love

Even as a child, she carried around things like scissors, tissue and stick-on notes, which made her the go-to person for people who needed to borrow things. She finally found the book after rummaging in her large tote bag for so long. She opened the first page. Alas! Conveniently, the first word was a year. 1780 So she made her decision and wrote the year down on the first line of the book. Nothing happened. Thalia sighed, put the book away, and put everything back inside her big tote bag. Although it was false, the book was nevertheless attractive and went well with the rest of her collection. She stood to leave the restaurant and suddenly she felt a tingle at the back of her ears, which ma

They can easily smell the wine. I take a coffee spoon and stir the water and powdered milk together, the warmth of the ceramic mug lightly comforting my aching heart. I sit on the island chair before opening the yearbook and examining the pictures page-by-page. Mom was definitely in a lot of them, but so was that other person who looked so much like me. Life used to be normal. When did it get this messy? I bring the mug closer to my lips, just staring at the people in the yearbooks. I wince and cough after the hot milk meets my tongue. That definitely burnt some of my taste buds.
