Novel & Cerita Light For Book Reading In Bed

(Few Moments ago) The low hum of fluorescent lighting buzzed above Lena's head as she hunched over her textbook, a pen clenched tightly between her fingers. Her dorm room was dimly lit, the only light source being the desk lamp that illuminated pages of political theory and legislation she couldn’t care less about. Outside her window, the late afternoon sun had given way to shadows that stretched long across the campus. Her brows furrowed as she re-read the same paragraph for the third time.

His house was just beside the big black gate and he always had a bench at the entrance where he would stay every morning or night whenever he waited for Jude to come back just like that night. She got into Junior's room and flashed the light at his face which he quickly jerked to and then she diverted the light somewhere else. She slowly moved to his bedside and fell slowly on his bed while she tried to turn the light bulb on. The energy saving bulb flickered to life and the room was lit once more. His room had a small blue plastic chair with a matching blue table on which a pile of disarranged textbooks she believed he was going to use the next day at school, laid.

On the coffee table, my magazines are spread out in a fan. And tucked in the corner on top of a large, deep bay window, a mirror of my own, is a reading nook: different, but close enough, strung with twinkling Christmas lights glowing a dull orange and creating a cozy ambiance. Pillows, blankets, a little cushion, and my books plus even more, all of them neatly arranged, just the way I'd left them.

Perhaps I ought to swap to an audio book, that might soothe me whilst I wait. “Hey honey, you asleep yet?” I hear my mother say from the other side of the door. My fairy lights are still on and my bedside lamp, she can see the light no doubt filtering below the gap at the bottom of my door. It’s getting past my curfew and my folks really don’t like for me to be awake much past eleven. I have to be up at half six to fit in a run before school, shower and all the usual stuff everyone has to do. I sigh and reach for the remote by me on the bed. I press the small button which turns my fairy lights off and then hit the switch on my bedside table. I’ve got a small reading light that fits onto my b

I would never know. Oh, I should get her a kindle too. Scented candles, blue light glasses. Fill the kitchen and pantry with snacks. I could have a little snack section installed on her side of the bed too. “Do you think I should get her those lights she can attach to her book or just like a bedside lamp for when she wants to read?” I blurted out before I could think. “I’ll get both.” I added as I continued making mental lists of everything I could get for her. For when she doesn’t want to read in the room, I’ll have a spare room turned into a personal library space just for her.

The curtains slowly closed from both sides and the light shining into the room narrowed until no more light shone inside. The dark grey curtain kept out all the light and now the room was almost pitch black. This was indeed very ideal for sleeping. I turned on the flashlight on my phone and began making my way to switch on a lamp that was located next to the bed. Warm orange light lit up the room in a lazy glow once the lamp was switched on. This shouldn’t disturb Brandon and it gave me enough light for me to see.

I watched from the corner of my eye as she stepped into the room, her hand lightly resting on my arm for support. Her eyes began to wander around, taking in the room almost in awe. The dim light from the bedside lamp cast a warm, inviting glow over the room, softening the edges of the furniture and creating a cozy atmosphere. The walls were adorned with a few framed photographs and posters, each one a testament to my interests and experiences. A bookshelf stood tall on one side, filled with books of various genres, their spines worn from years of reading. Her gaze drifted to the queen-sized bed at the center, neatly made with a dark blue duvet and matching pillows. The bed looked inviting, a

he beamed. I bowed down as I felt a sudden blush out of embarrassment. "N-not yet..." I whispered and cleared my throat as I continue reading the book. I am already in the middle chapter when I yawn. Light is still focus on his laptop. I take a nap and I opened my eyes as my back hits the soft mattress. "Sleep... Don't worry, I'll sleep on the couch. Don't worry I-" "No. I mean... You can sleep on the bed..." I cut off Light's sentence and offered the bed.

He stopped at a door near the end of the hall and pushed it open with a small flourish, stepping back to allow me the full effect of the reveal. "This one," he said. The room was simple and unexpectedly welcoming. A bed sat against the far wall, neatly made, covered with a thick grey blanket that looked heavy enough to hold warmth against even the coldest night. A small bedside table held a lamp already switched on, its light a warm amber that softened the corners of the room and made the white walls look almost golden. Beside the lamp sat a single book, placed there so naturally that it looked less like a decoration and more like something someone had simply set down and not yet returned to

By the time she moved, the room was already dark. She carried the book with her out to the balcony at the back of the house, the one that overlooked the beach. The air was cooler now, salted, the kind of breeze that wrapped around your skin like comfort. A soft outdoor light flickered on automatically, bathing the space in a warm glow, providing her with just enough light to read. She curled into one of the chairs, bare feet tucked beneath her, and kept reading. Waves rose and fell in a steady rhythm, everything was so peaceful out here, she could stay here the whole day.
