Boom! A thunderous streak of violet lightning flashed across the night sky like a violent dragon, ripping it apart. At that moment, everything within 10 miles was lit up as if it was daytime. The lightning fizzled into an electrical arc with stunning speed. It sparked across the sky and into a hill behind the Khan household, finding its way into a dilapidated shack and finally ended at the young man on a broken bed.

His arm jerked, and lightning screamed down once more, breaking through my weakened barrier. “No!” I roared, shoving every last shred of willpower forward. In desperation, I seized the bolt with my energy, twisting it, diverting its path. There was no time to aim. No strength left to control. The lightning struck me squarely in the chest. Pain. Blinding, searing, endless. It ripped through every nerve, every bone, as though the heavens themselves had chosen to split me apart. My scream echoed with it, raw and unrestrained, before it was swallowed by the roar of the storm overhead.

A massive bolt descended from the heavens, crashing into the evil god general and slamming him heavily into the ground. I didn’t wait for him to catch his breath. I chanted once again. “Twelve Strikes of Divine Punishment… descend!” I growled darkly. Immediately, purple thunder and lightning gathered in the sky before crashing downward. The first strike descended upon the evil god general while the remaining bolts tore through the battlefield, killing hundreds of evil apostles instantly. Another bolt of lightning crashed down, piercing through the arm of the evil god general—the very hand holding his staff. The weapon slipped from his grasp and fell onto the ground.
