Looking up I can see that Lilith is digging the heel of her black pump into the top of my hand. “I only need you barely living to carry this child to term,” Lilith says through gritted teeth. “You can spend the next few months in agony and then when your child is born I will kill you and raise her as my own… or,” she smiles down at me sweetly, “you can agree to give her to me now.” Focusing all of the pain that is coursing through my body into my right hand, I reach up and grab Lilith around the ankle. “No,” I growl as I push the pain that is coursing through me into her body.

She gently pushed Solenn toward the far side of the bathroom. “Go hide over there.” Before Solenn could react or ask what was happening, Lilith had already marched straight toward the door. Outside, Luci was still staring at her phone when Lilith popped out. Despite being so young, Lilith had a fiery temper. If she didn’t like someone, she never held back. The door opened, and a slightly built man with dark hair and immaculate skin walked into the office. “Good morning, Tony,” Atlas said, looking as though this wasn't their first encounter. When Tony turned his gaze on me, he frowned and blurted out, "She's still working for you?" From the confusion in his voice, I guess that he was someone that Atlas had confided in, and he knew the truth. "Lilith is not yours to worry about, Tony." Atlas calmly said. "Her name is Lilith? I thought it was Aria." Tony mumbled out loud.

I looked up at her, “It’s Tobias. I told him not to call me unless it was very serious.” Her face stiffened, “Answer.” I didn’t want to. Every instinct in me was already screaming, and I was already scared about what news he would relay. Fenrir also pacing nonstop in my head didn’t help matters. I pressed the phone to my ear, and before I could say a word, Tobias’ voice came through so sharply. “Why didn’t you answer your phone?” he snapped. The sharpness in his tone immediately made my pulse spike. Tobias never lost composure unless things were about to burn, but before I could answer, his voice came through again, “Lilith is back.”

Lilith replied as she returned their stares. Tio murmured, perplexed, "Huh?" Cloe approached Lilith and looked at her phone to see what she was watching. Cloe was bewildered when she saw that the video playing on Lilith's phone was only a comedy video, unsure of how she should react. Cloe inquired, "Do you want me to make you a milk before you sleep, Lady Lilith?" With a nod, Lilith responded, "Thank you, Cloe." Cloe then exited the room, leaving Tio there with Lilith. She had previously ignored Lilith's strange behavior, believing that Lilith had merely sobbed because the video she was watching was so humorous.

Lilith leaned back in her chair, crossing her legs, watching the room with quiet satisfaction before finally speaking. “It’s true,” she said smoothly. “Plus Xavier is sick.” That got everyone’s attention.Several heads turned toward her. They have heard the rumors, but this just confirmed it. “Sick?” someone repeated. Lilith nodded.“Yes,” she said. “Poisoned, actually.” The room erupted into murmurs. “And before anyone starts hoping for a miracle,” she added lightly, “let me clarify something. That poison is not curable.”She tilted her head slightly, a faint smile playing on her lips.“I would know,” she said. “I’m a researcher.”

She was a small woman, five feet two and delicate, her flimsy arms could defend herself but she belonged behind the designer chair. She looked around frantically before I saw a bright shining red light coming from Seline’s chest. It took me a few moments to realize that there was a hand sticking through her chest. Seline evaporated into nothing, and Lilith was standing right behind her with her deep red lipstick on, wearing a very tight figure hugging black dress and very high stiletto heels. Lilith wiped her hands together, trying to get all remanence of Seline off of her and she looked up at me. “I am getting really sick of that nosy bitch.” Lilith said.
