I turn to see Lily, she waves at me to come over. “Wow, Lil” I looked at her with appreciation. “you look beautiful” she wears a cream dress with large red flowers on it, her hair falls over her shoulders in soft waves, eyes shone with delight. She pulls me into her arms and hugs me tight. Like she hasn’t seen me in days, and she hasn’t, but it's not her fault. How can I fault her when she’s so happy?

Lily came back out then, clutching a blue slushie and grinning. “They had sprinkles,” she announced. “Did you get a straw?” I asked. She nodded enthusiastically. The man’s gaze shifted to her again, and something in his posture changed. Not softer. More careful. “That’s a good color,” he said to her. “Blue suits you.” Lily beamed. “It’s my favorite.” I placed a hand on her shoulder, grounding both of us. “We’re done here,” I said. She nodded and took another sip, already turning toward the car.

Lily had chosen a mid length, deep blue, flowy dress that belted at the wasit and tight at the top. It showed off all her curves. Lily was really pretty. Understated in her looks by all the guys as they pined over Melissa, miss blonde and perky. Lily, though, she had natural curves, a large chest, and dark hair. Petite and short, although slightly taller than Riley. Everyone was taller than Riley. But she was happy to have a beautiful friend like Lily.

His eyes were her weakness, she saw things deep within it. the three shades of blue it had, the shape of the lines that were drawn in it, the size of his pupil. She could see the ocean in it and she loved it.

The bottom of it was lined with lilies, almost in the same color as the one I had given to Nicolais. “You’re magical, Miss Luna,” Lily said, her eyes trailing over my form, looking like she was about to cry. “You can’t cry,” I warned, trying to keep my emotions in check. “If you cry, then I’ll cry, and then I’ll ruin everything.” I fanned my hands, trying to keep calm. “I’m trying,” she answered, taking deep breaths as well.
