Lily stood a few feet away holding a sheet of paper carefully in both hands, as though it were something fragile and very official. Her expression did not show even the slightest hesistation, no awareness that there was a storm somewhere in my head. “I made something.” She said. Lily I tried my best to hold back tears by blinking, when the slap from my mom landed on my skinny face. There was a hush in the hall. Even though my eyes were fixed to the ground, I knew that everyone was watching me. When I finally plucked up, slowly lifted my head, I stared into the cold piercing gaze of my mother. She looked at me like I was an outcast instead of her own daughter. "Why did you mix the wrong drink for your sister, Lily?" she growled at me, voice as sharp as the tip of an ice shard. "Are you trying to get your sister killed?"

Lily tried to speak to her, and she was unable to summon her. "Aya!" She groaned, calling out her wolf, but no response came from her. Aya only responds to Lily once in a while, and that makes Lily frustrated. "Who are you?" Lily asked this time fiercely. Her instincts couldn't have failed her. There was indeed someone inside the room with her, but he refused to answer her. Lily struggled to pull her hands from the handcuffs, she clenched and twisted her fist, she had small hands so it was easy for her to push it out of the cuffs since they were somehow bigger than her normal hand.

She then smirked at me "Behave, okay?" Lily and I groaned in unison. Lily threw a crumpled paper on Jibee. She just laughed and exited the room, closing the door behind. "Aish! That girl!" Lily shook her head I stared at her with a smile on my lips. I can still see the kiss mark on her cast. Then I got a perfect idea. I took my market from my bag. "Can I write something on your cast?" I politely asked Lily while showing her my marker

She turned to him and took a drag on her cigarette, the end almost as bright as the flame that would have lit it. "What the fuck do you want?"

Eleanor replied with a smile, graciously inviting her in. Lily could find her way to that specific spot even with her eyes closed. She quickly took a seat and began to trace a particular spot on the wall. Perhaps no one else noticed, but engraved there were the words "Musician? Silly Lily." They had secretly carved it with a craft knife when the owner wasn't looking. Each letter was uneven, much like the ups and downs of their relationship, soon to be smoothed over by time. Tears streamed down her face silently, mourning a lost love and a future without hope.

Across the small clearing, Lily didn’t even glance up from where she sat cross-legged in the grass, sketching in her journal with a stick dipped in berry juice. “They’ve been like this for over an hour,” she said flatly. We both turned to stare at her. “How long have you been here?” I asked. She calmly licked her finger and smeared a little more berry over a page. “Long enough to map out the argument arc. You peaked somewhere around the ‘mossy death trap’ and it’s been downhill since.” Aya flopped onto a sun-warmed rock like a wilting fern. “I need a new partner in tag.”
