MIRANDA A knot twisted in my stomach, The image of their wide eyes and dropped jaws replayed in my mind as if frozen in time when he lifted his hand to slap Lisa. Part of me had hoped one of them would come to my rescue, but I hadn’t expected it to escalate like that. "We have a lot of work today, Mira. Tomorrow is the Luna coronation," Oliver muttered. I stayed silent, aware he was right. I didn’t even nod in acknowledgment, I simply ignored him.

She asked in anger. "Who the hell are you tagging the Luna?" She asked Darren. "The one who rightfully deserves it." He replied as vivian pecked his lips. "Thank you honey." She said. Miranda bit her lips hard trying to control herself. "You're not the Luna, and the maids will never give you such regards so come off your dream world, it's not everybody you can manipulate." Miranda said as Vivian faked a surprised expression, mocking her at the same time.

He knew he'd never forgotten her. Miranda smiled. "Do you think I'd jump into another lion's den right after escaping one? Mr. Lawson, it was nice meeting you today, but let's go our separate ways from now on." With that, she turned and left. Now, she didn't want to have anything to do with either Hansel or Micah. And it would be best for them to stop pestering her. Micah's eyes darkened as he stared at Miranda's slender figure. Suddenly, he let out a soft sigh. Chuckling, he mumbled, "Mimi, you can't stop this single-handedly. Do you think you'll be able to escape?"

I was so shocked at the idea of his lips on mine that I went immediately silent. I realized my mouth was hanging open, and shut it tight as if that would protect me from contact.

That was when people realized the man already had two previous wives and four children. That woman was fierce. She slapped Miranda so hard she coughed up blood. Then, the woman beat her until she lost her hearing. After getting out of the hospital, Miranda went to find Jerome again.

"But if you succeed, he sleeps. And for one night, he cannot touch you. That is if you are determined not to sleep with my father." Her eyes look up to me. They're hesitant but now she shook her head. "I can't sleep with him Lorenzo, after I did it with you I don't think I would let another man touch me." Damn it! I curse through my mind. "Oh Miranda, I wanted to take you and brand you mine but we can't do that easily. But trust me and gave me some time to devise a solid plan for both of us." Silence settled between us, thick and charged.

The man shifted into his brown wolf, while Sapphire and I shifted. The battle begins, I saw the brown wolf charge at Sapphire, I saw she give that wolf one punch had him falling to the ground. That punch was powerful all I could think of is this man is about to regret what he said. We kept fighting, I could feel we have the upper hand, I don’t know how long it's been, but I heard a loud growl that we all stop I looked over and saw that Mileena had shift into her Lycan. I could see the fear in people eyes, I saw Mileena wolf had red eyes, I knew she was upset. I could see the brown wolf and Sapphire shifted.

My heart pounded as I waited for his verdict - would my dreams finally come true, or would they remain forever out of reach? With a menacing glare, Alexander scribbled something in his notebook. I held my breath, waiting for him to speak. "How many people are left outside?" he growled, his voice low and dangerous. My voice barely above a whisper, I replied, "Only six, sir... sir." Alexander's piercing eyes bore into mine. "Introduce yourself, miss?" he demanded. "I'm Miranda James," I replied, my tone dripping with sarcasm as I tried to mask my fear.

When I woke up, I considered calling William and telling him that I had changed my mind but I knew that would mean I was a coward and I was doing what only cowards did best. I dragged myself out of bed and started getting ready and this would be my last peaceful bath as Miranda the human. The next bath that I was going to take I was either going to take it as Miranda the forced Luna or Miranda who was William’s mate. I hated the fact that my future was not in my hands and I hated the fact that someone else had the power to decide what was to happen to me even more.
