She’d only repeated what Julian had told her.
“How sure are you,” Linda said smoothly, “that the Lachlans aren’t trying to kill you?”
Her smile widened. She’d been with me this morning, terrified when the car rammed into us. And now, here she was, treating all of this like some twisted joke.
“There is something wrong with you,” I said, my anger shaking inside me.
Linda only looked in the mirror, calm and unbothered. “I told you from the start that the Lachlan family is broken. Twisted.” She glanced at me through the mirror, her lips still curved. “I never said I wasn’t, too.”
