Ascend or Be Consumed

Ascend or Be Consumed

My gaze drifted to the desk in the corner of the room where General Caldert’s brown journal rested, worn-out and untouched. The urge to open it and read it again overwhelmed me. Answers waited there. Truths I hadn’t yet faced. Then memory slammed into me just as hard. The seal. The blinding pain. The way darkness had swallowed my sight the instant I read the very first line— I was the fire… My fingers curled into my palm, and flecks of flame sparked to life between them, dancing restlessly against my skin. I clenched my hand tighter, forcing the fire down before it got out of hand.

The Fire That Chose Me

The Fire That Chose Me

Her heart pulled in two directions—toward him, always toward him, and yet weighed down by the truth. The stranger stepped forward again, golden eyes never leaving them. “And now you see. The fire was never yours alone. It was always meant to burn through the Wolfe line. Through him. Through you.” The wolves shifted, a low growl rumbling in their throats. Aiden lifted his blade, every muscle taut. “If you think you’ll touch her, you’ll bleed for it.” But the man only smiled, calm and cruel. “We’ll see. The fire has chosen. The blood remembers. And the past—” His gaze cut sharp between them. “—always comes due.”

Setting Fire to Her Lies

Setting Fire to Her Lies

Although this graduation painting had not yet been completed, it was far superior to any of my previous works. The moment Willow saw the painting, her expression subtly shifted. I caught the flicker of greed and jealousy in her eyes. I looked around the room. In the next moment, I did something that left everyone completely flabbergasted. I pulled out a lighter and flicked it. Then, I brought the flame close to one corner of the canvas. "Cassidy! What are you doing?" Jess shouted sharply almost immediately. Needless to say, she was the first to react. The flame licked at the edge of the canvas and spread quickly. My masterpiece, the product of my passion and skill, burned down to ash before

He Divorced Me, I Marry A Bigger Billionaire!

He Divorced Me, I Marry A Bigger Billionaire!

“Fine. But you listen, and you listen well. Once I tell you this, there’s no unknowing it. You carry this, you carry the danger with it. You sure you want that?” My heart thudded, but I nodded. “I’m sure.” He exhaled, long and slow, before his eyes darkened with memory. “The fire,” he began, his voice low, almost like confessing a sin, “wasn’t an accident. It was deliberate. Planned long before the day it happened.” My breath caught. “There were small signs,” he continued. “Gas lines left leaking. Traces of fuel showing up in places they had no business being. And I mean… subtle, careful placement. Enough to seem like oversight if anyone asked, but when you put it all together—no chance it w

In love with my step father in law

In love with my step father in law

--- Chapter 19: The Memory of Fire The fire began with a whisper. A single spark in the server room—silent, almost reverent—before the flames unfurled across steel and glass, licking their way through the laboratory like a reckoning. The chemicals hissed as they caught, feeding the blaze with everything that had been hidden. Smoke rose in slow spirals, curling through the air like it had come to collect what the past was too cowardly to keep. Isla didn’t move.

The Dumb Cursed Heiress and Her Mates: Reborn For Revenge

The Dumb Cursed Heiress and Her Mates: Reborn For Revenge

"But what really happened here? Why is a book burnt?. I wrote quickly, my hand still trembling. I don't know. I touched one book and it started to burn. I dropped it. It was a weak lie, but it was all I had in that moment of panic. Suddenly, Noah's eyes caught something. He grabbed my hand roughly, turning it over. "You're burned." He was right. My hand was red and blistered from where I had held the burning book. I had been so terrified by what I'd read and by the fire that I hadn't even felt the pain.

Forgotten Embers

Forgotten Embers

Prologue II: Pyre, 3113 Pyre Av 5, 3113 Stephan Caliphus, King Everything was on fire the night he finished the book in the back room of a borrowed house. He laid his glasses down on the desk in front of him and rubbed his tired eyes. The crackling of flames could be heard as the city burned all around them. The blood curdling screams of the men in the streets where they died was enough to make the blood of the fiercest warrior run cold, but he was a man of empathy and it hurt him more than it did the others.

Taming the Fire Dragon

Taming the Fire Dragon

I could see fire blazing above me, hear the screaming of those caught in the flames, as I continued to claw my way back to the surface. I am Ember’s only hope of survival. My mate needs me and I’m not going to let some elves bury me alive, leaving her to die. When the earth begins slowly closing beneath us, I push to the surface again, lifting my head in the air, trying to find her scent among the scent of fire, water, earth, and air, intermingled with burned flesh and blood. I hear a scream of agony a moment before we’re all blown off our feet by the strongest blast of fire I’ve ever seen or felt. I roll when I feel my fur burning, quickly extinguishing the fire on my body.

Kenna and Yhendorns story was a long time coming, and it was everything I could’ve hoped it’d be! Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book - although every story by Cooper is truly a great read. So excited for what’s to come! As always, author - amazing job! :)

The Inevitable Blaze

The Inevitable Blaze

He bit his lip. I screwed my eyes shut trying to imagine him as an hyena or anything ugly because at that moment I wanted to crawl into his arms, beg him to touch me and do whatever he wanted as long as he got rid of the fire that was burning inside me. But he'd make a joke out of it and the thought of just that made me mad at him. "Oh Marvelous." His voice made me open my eyes instantly. "Why are you so---"
