He said as I heard his bones break. “Sierra.” I called in my mind through all the voices that were trying to mind-link me. She came forward and pushed me back as she shifted. I only caught bits and pieces of everything as I tried to focus on pushing all the voices back. I saw some warriors looking around at someone. Alpha Marc had slowed to a walking pace but next thing I saw was Alec’s wolf. He wasn’t backing down. “Alec.” I mind-linked him. “Why are you in pain?” Alec asked in extreme restrain anger.

After several hours of running, just before dawn, Saya collapses among some rocks near a mountainous area, creating an invisible protective bubble around her. Carrie, who had been wandering those parts searching for herbs, spots Saya just as she transforms back into Selene and falls unconscious a few meters away. She recognizes her Uriel’s granddaughter, her brother's kin, the Luna of the Redwood Wolves, the one Carla and Augusto want dead at all costs to prevent her from giving the alpha Connor an heir.

I said and we laughed. “I wanted to cross-check the calendar again,” Jaxon said amidst laughter. "Tell me about it," I said, chuckling as I sat down opposite them. "Feels good to be home." Jaxon leaned back in his chair, eyeing me with open curiosity. "So? How was Axelland? Word reached us about the celebration. Sounds like it was quite the event." I nodded. "It was... intense." They waited, patient, as I gathered my thoughts. "I met Alpha Damien. Strong leader. Fair but fierce. His Luna, Lyra, she's special, as you already know. You can feel it when you're near her. She holds real power. They're a force together."

No wonder she was still dealing with things. “Those fucking bastards, they cut off your fucking leg?! But what are those rogues?” I asked, trying not to get too angry. “This town is a pack. Like with regular wolves, but slightly different. We have an Alpha and a Luna. Osiris and Lily. We are all connected, we can communicate through what we call the mind link. That way we can talk even in wolf form.” This wasn’t real! They could talk telepathically?! Is that why some bowed to Lily, because she was their boss? Nah, this was like a cult or something right?!

Mack asked him. “I work for Alpha Mason. He sent me to Alpha Adelaide’s territory after the explosive stopped. I thought you were the one who set them off after I saw what you did with those rogues.” Link says. “Why did you follow me?” Mack continued to question. “Alpha Mason told me too. He said to follow until I or he could confirm your identity.” Link responded as his eyes glazed over for a second. “Are you Mack?” Link asks looking at him. “I am.” Mack says as links eyes glazed back over. Link was mind-linking somebody. “Alpha Mason will be here soon.” Link says. “He asks that you untie me.”

Elara’s breathing began to steady. After a long minute the pull faded completely. I let go of her hand and sat back. “Better?” She nodded slowly. “Better.” My father rubbed his face. “I need to study this further. The link should not require physical contact to stabilize.” “Unless the link itself is incomplete,” Julian said. We all looked at him. “What do you mean?” I asked. “You said carrier to carrier,” Julian said to my father. “Two people from the same bloodline. But what if the link is not actually anchored fully in Selina. What if it needs both of them. Together. Not just connected through blood, but present.”

Yuna, the woman who had loved him so much, wasn't just sulking. She had really left. And she had even severed their mate bond. "How do I restore the bond?" Damon's voice was terribly hoarse. The healer shivered under his stare, his back cold with fear. "Only if Luna herself agrees. Otherwise, no one can force a bond that's already broken back together." Damon slammed his hand on the table, knocking the medicine bowl off it. It shattered across the floor. His eyes were heavy with too many emotions. There was anger, shock, a violent sense of being betrayed, and a panic he didn't even want to admit.

Lilith's POV. I folded another dress and carefully placed it inside one of the open traveling bags... It's been a few more weeks and we are finally leaving the human world. Oliver had already made arrangements, the main reason why we had come here has finally been settled, Valerie could no longer hurt anyone, she had gotten a hold of her power. And despite everything that had happened... With Helena and Adrian, despite the danger and the chaos that had followed us, there was still a part of me that felt strangely sad about leaving.
