The Light of My Life
Unexpectedly, during the lunch break, I was tidying up the supplies in the supply closet when Irina came to see me.
She eyed me in blatant derision as she said, "Celia, delivering protection product to us that day should've been enough for you to know your place and leave Edgar! Why are you still latching onto him, huh? Look at you! First, you got a job making deliveries, and now, you're working as a cleaner. You're not good enough for Edgar."
Eyeing her coolly, I replied, "Thanks for using your precious lunch break to tend to his needs. That must've been so hard on you. Oh, did he pay you for the overtime?"
