She smiled as she moved between him and the end of the equipment laden table that held the microscope. Lila had been harboring an unrequited attraction for her boss since day one of her working with him. His handsome face often made her heart flutter with desire. Even so, the surge of energy from his body was something that she’d never experienced before. It both surprised and aroused her. She stopped for a brief moment to subdue the stirring that suddenly occurred in her womb before moving on. It was a familiar sensation that reminded her of her dreams. With a quick catch of her breath, she willed her womanhood to behave and continued toward the microscope. “What’s wrong?” he asked.

Lily's POV. Next day, I go to live with Emma for two days just so I don't cross paths with Ryan and also because I was not feeling that well. "Hi, Lily. Look Ethan, your favourite aunt is here." Emma says. "I think you are forgetting but I am his only aunt." I say and see Ethan rush towards me. "Aunt Lily, look what I made for Eve." Ethan says as he shows me the scrapbook he made. It has pictures of us family with names under it and some moments we had on different holidays. I did this for Ethan once just like Lucas did it for me. It is like a tradition in our family.

Penelope inclined her head thoughtfully. "We'll take a bottle of Roditis." She smiled sweetly at the waiter. He bowed his head in acknowledgement before walking off. She leaned closer to Lily. "So, what type of book are you working on?" She asked curiously. Lily opened her mouth to answer, but she glanced up at Jayce and blushed lightly, rubbing the back of her neck. "Oh, it's nothing special, really." She said, her eyes looking over the menu again. "Nothing special? You made New York's Best Seller with book one, right?" She asked and Lily nodded, smiling shyly.

Something she wanted to share only with the man she loved. She had asked Marco to get her a book and Marco, who was understanding enough, brought her a new-age young adult novel, which had a lot of cute romantic moments. It took Marco some time to find a book that was fun and nice and not something depressing. With one g****e search and asking the teens in the bookstore which one was the best, he settled with the upside of falling. But Lise hadn’t even moved from the first page. She just sat out, looking beyond the gates.

Her eyes fell on the book I was holding. “You’re going to read The White Wolf and Her Alpha King?” she asked, pointing at my choice. I nodded. “Yeah, it seemed interesting.” Lily’s expression became more serious. “They say that what’s in that book is going to happen, but so many pages are torn out that you won’t understand what really happened.”
