Sacrificed to the Dragon Prince

Sacrificed to the Dragon Prince

“I mean, I hope it is you. I like you and Primus much better, but I also need to be prepared to work with Segundus as well.” “So you’re willing to supply a tyrant?” “All kings are tyrants,” he shrugs. “Even myself. The story of who is good and who is bad is determined by whoever comes out on top. There are no real good guys.” His voice trails off. “Many ‘evils’ are committed with good intentions. Someone’s hero is often someone else’s villain. Don’t judge me for wanting to survive.” I pause about one step away from him.

The writing is clunky at times, but the story and the characters are mesmerizing. This was my first dragon romance, and it was incredible. So glad the sequel has already started because the ending is criminal. I want to see all my favorites find their happiness.

Chained To My Bad Boy's Wild Love

Chained To My Bad Boy's Wild Love

Esther suddenly went pale, as though all the blood had drained from her face. “You need to face reality,” Gaara said calmly, almost too calmly. “Don’t be so naïve, thinking this world is spotless. Sometimes the people who look the most virtuous are the ones hiding the darkest pasts or at least, the ones who’ve done wrong before. Good and evil, they exist side by side. One cannot exist without the other. We only call someone ‘good’ because there are ‘bad’ people to compare them with. You can’t separate the two.” Esther’s throat went dry. “Then… what about that senior of ours?” she asked, her voice no louder than a squeak. Deep inside, she was terrified her worst suspicion might be true.

He reaches up and tucks my hair behind my ear, “Do you want to talk about it, or do you need another minute?” I hold his free hand between mine, focusing on the creases and tiny hairs in his skin. “And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.” “Why are you quoting Nietzsche?” he asks curiously. “Because he was right,” I answer, looking up at him in defeat. Ayawamat frowns, “Orenda, you’re not evil or corrupt. You have not become the monsters you hunt. How can you even think that?”

Her Triple Alpha's Revenge

Her Triple Alpha's Revenge

"Your essence? I thought you wanted your son to live?" "He has already been released!" The voice held a sinister laugh behind his words. "Katherine, don't be a fool. This is pure evil that wants to destroy our world." Elizabeth tried to beg me to do what she saw as the right path. The world isn't simply divided into good and bad or right and wrong, though. Evil, as we perceive it, is merely the absence of good, much like darkness is the absence of light. Within me, there exists no inherent goodness, light, or kindness, only a drive for self-preservation and a thirst for power to ensure that no one ever stands in my path again.

The Stripper Toy for My Hot Stepbrothers

The Stripper Toy for My Hot Stepbrothers

"Nietzsche. Dostoevsky. Some philosophy. It's heavy stuff. Might help kill time." She reached out and touched the worn leather cover of Beyond Good and Evil. Her fingers were gentle, almost reverent. It was the first real sign of life I'd seen from her since the library. "You read these?" Still that flat voice. "I do." She opened the book and scanned a random page. Quiet for a moment. Then, without looking up, she said, "Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster." Word perfect. Even her accent nailed the German. My eyebrows went up. "You've read Nietzsche?"

If I killed to protect myself, would that make me evil? "Ugh, okay. Where are you going with this?" I wasn't sure I wanted to know. He chuckled and climbed off the bed, adjusting his clothes. When he finished, he lifted me onto my feet. "In Buddhism," he began, "good and evil don't exist, per se. Instead, there is kusala and akusala. Kusala is considered to be intelligence, contentment, beneficial, and a remover of affliction. Akusala is, quite simply, the opposite, or ignorance, causer of affliction, and so on. Which boils down to this: what is evil to one person may be good to another. Life and everything in it is about your perception."

"Not exactly but it's a great book and like Alex said, it did point out some things about the human mind." Like the thin line between goodness and evil. That in us, lies the capacity for good and evil. The first time I read that book, I thought of dad. I thought of dad on his dark days, days when he'd hit mom nonstop and dad on his good days, when he'd smile at mom, act like a good husband and an even better father. I heaved a sigh as my mind conjured some images I'd rather not remember. I closed my eyes willing them to go away but the images only became more clearer, more lucid.

“Oh, this, this is my realm, the highest plain of which I reside and only I can enter, not even the other gods have the power nor permission to come here. I was actually very surprised when you got inside, I didn’t consider the possibility that someone who isn’t even a god, a normal human was able to enter here. You were very lucky indeed to be the only person to ever get inside here and be able to have a conversation with me like this.” “Ow haha, I guess I am quite lucky indeed but how do I go back?” “I can just take you back whenever you want. Are you going to leave already?” “Yes haha, I still have to finish writing the chapter of my novel I left unfinished earlier; I want to improve the

Beyond the abyss

Beyond the abyss

His father could not contain the serenity of the place that he started to tell stories about his incarceration which he had been essaying to his son repeatedly, but always solicited a smile from his loving son. "You would not believe how strange some people are my son." he started his story. "I've met some who have been accused of murder but claimed their innocence and some of them admitted to their crimes but felt not a bit of remorse. Imman, do you think that the guilty individuals could still be given a chance at life again, I mean, that despite their crimes, they would still be forgiven and after serving time, they will be given a chance again to mingle with the society that puts them in

It was cluttered with books and materials of all sorts. Several opened books were scattered on the computer table, with red marks and notes scrawled across the pages. Someone had been studying very hard there. Nathan slowly walked over and flipped through the books. Psychology? He frowned as he took in the room. He saw a lot of books on the shelf that didn't belong to him. His gaze was locked on the titles. "Best Ways to Handle Toxic People". "The Key to Overcoming Nasty People" "Foundations of Psychology" Nathan's lips curled slightly as a smirk played on his face.

The story between Chubs and Nate got pretty dragging but I can't complaint, since I did end up loving this novel more than I thought I would. Halfway through 1088 chapters, things got more interesting and the ending was pretty good. Thanks for making the stories worth reading.

I really like the book, i've been stuck on it since i've found it .. it's just that the chapters are too short, it's basically a money grab... irritating that you can't read for at least 2-5 mins without having to pay for a new chapter.
