Unholy Love
We entered the park, the soft glow of the streetlights casting long shadows on the pavement.
We found a bench beneath a tall oak tree, its branches rustling in the evening breeze. Arcane sat down, her gaze fixed on a distant point. I settled beside her, giving her the space she needed.
The night enveloped us, the quiet broken only by the occasional rustle of leaves. I could feel the waves of grief washing over her, each one a testament to the depth of her love for her mother.
"Arc," I began, my voice soft, "Don't worry too much. Everything will be alright."
