The garden lay tranquil, bathed in a serene glow of moonlight that cast silver shadows across the earth. The sweet, intoxicating scent of roses mingled with the rich aroma of damp soil, a stark contrast to the fading echoes of laughter and music drifting from the party behind them.

“And flowers.” “I tolerate flowers.” “You called roses ‘useless decoration’ three weeks ago.” “They are useless decoration.” “Damon.” I sighed dramatically. “Fine. I may have stolen half these flowers from the eastern greenhouse myself.” Her eyes widened slightly. “You?” “I had help.” “From who?” “Terrified gardeners.” Another laugh escaped her lips and I would probably start wars just to hear that sound again. Aria walked farther into the garden slowly while trailing her fingers lightly across the edge of the fountain. The brown dress she wore shifted softly around her legs in the night breeze, and moonlight kissed every inch of exposed skin until she barely looked real.

"Let's dress up prettily today, okay?" Leon coaxed Anika gently, the next day after he returned from the company. "Hm?" Anika tilted her head in question at him, but he only smiled at her and went to get her dress. After dressing her, Leon led her out of their room until outside the house and towards the garden. When they arrived, Anika gaped at the beautiful garden, which was decorated with exquisite arc flowers, white muslin fabrics, and a long red velvet pathway towards the center and most elaborately decorated part of the garden, where a man stood holding what seemed to be a book.

“Who knows? You might find a new favourite.” Chloe smiled faintly. “Maybe.” They continued their stroll, leaving the library behind and stepping out onto a wide terrace. The cool night air was refreshing, carrying with it the faint scent of blooming flowers. Below them, the garden stretched out in neatly arranged rows, illuminated by subtle garden lights. “Your garden?” Chloe asked as they descended the stone steps leading into the greenery. Leo nodded. “One of Mrs. Grace’s projects, actually. She has an eye for these things.”

I dug my fingers into the grass, enjoying the cool green scent of my garden. Arcadia is a strange part of Above. It can be whatever you want it to be; a memory, a perfect representation of a real place, a surreal world of oil pastel and golden light... whatever you need. It can be affected by your mood, who you're with, what you ate... It's a blank canvas, but what it ends up presenting you is not always what you expected. So I sat on the gentle slope and stared at the old oak that had been a young oak when I was buried beneath it.

It wasn’t the right time, and I didn’t want to overstep. After a few more minutes of conversation, Ares led me out to the garden. The sun was just beginning to set, casting a golden hue over the lush greenery. The beauty of the place captivated me—the meticulously trimmed hedges, the vibrant flowers, and the serene atmosphere that seemed to envelop the entire estate. We strolled along a stone path that wound through the garden, and soon we reached a section filled with roses. The scent was intoxicating, and I couldn’t resist leaning in to inhale the sweet fragrance.

It seemed Aria had a knack for turning even the most tense situations into unexpected moments of levity. ARIA As I lay on the soft mat in the secluded garden, my mind wandered amidst the swaying flowers and the gentle rustling of leaves. The tranquility was interrupted by a subtle movement—a white hand poked out from behind a bush, signalling for me to come closer. With piqued curiosity, I glanced around and saw that the guards were momentarily distracted. Seizing the opportunity, I used my powers to make myself invisible, and quietly slipped away from their watchful eyes.

As we entered I was amazed by the view in front of me. Nestled in a cozy corner, the small garden is a delightful oasis of charm. Petite blossoms burst forth in a kaleidoscope of pastels, while dainty vines embrace the edges, creating a soft frame for the scene. Lush green foliage dances in the breeze, while vibrant blooms paint the landscape with hues of red, blue, and gold.

He reached the wide steps that led down to a dark garden. The circular garden had black statues, yellow fountains, and bushes of thorns and dark roses. At its center were stairs that elevated a circular platform. Three obelisks had surrounded the elevated circle, forming a triangle. Arth was about to walk towards it when the left corner of his eyes caught a view. He turned, then it caught his breath away.

I can't quite remember how I ended up here in the first place, but this route feels much more straightforward. I walk to the far side of the grand hall and enter a smaller room that leads outside to the garden. This exit is elevated, one floor above the ground, and there's a catwalk leading down to a staircase that descends into the garden. Being able to see the garden from this perspective and during the daylight is a pleasure. From above, I can make out the garden's intricate labyrinth design. It's captivating and utterly beautiful.
