The next morning, after a week of fierce wind and rain, the weather finally cleared up. As the radiant sun rose from the east, all the werewolves cheered and howled at it together, filled with ecstatic joy even more intense than when facing a full moon. The damn hurricane had passed, and the damn lockdown was finally coming to an end.

My face turned grim. It was a Shadow, alright. When hiding, Shadows unlike actual shadows weren’t attached to any body or object. That was the only way to differentiate hidden Shadows from shadows. Eventually, they learned to hide near objects so that they blended in and stayed unnoticed but it seemed the individual in the footage had thrown caution to the wind in his quest to deactivate the cameras. The scene replayed and I spotted the Shadow again. Watching in slow motion, it was easier to see what had happened.

Gunnar groaned lightly but smiled as they turned to face the room. "I present to you Bianca, Luna of The Shadow Howlers," he said loudly, causing everyone to burst out into howls and cheers.
