I was more than pretty
She screamed as she fell to the floor, blood spreading quickly beneath her.
Her mother cried out in horror. “Eve! Oh God, Eve!”
Livia stood calmly, gun still raised, her expression unreadable. “You came alone,” she said coolly. “Just like I knew you would.”
Eve clutched her leg, pain tearing through her body, but her eyes never left her mother. “Please,” she whispered. “Let her go. Take me. I’m right here.”
Livia smiled faintly, a cruel curve of her lips. “It’s already too late.”
